Harry Davies (rugby Union)
Harry Davies is a Welsh professional Rugby Union player who played for Cardiff Blues, Bath rugby, and Bedford Blues, his main positions are fullback and wing. Davies is currently playing for the Seattle Seawolves, a Major League Rugby club. Early life Davies started playing Rugby at Llantrisant RFC before becoming a part of the Cardiff Blues academy at the age of 17. Club Rugby Whilst part of the Blues academy Davies played on loan for Cardiff RFC. Davies also trained with the Welsh Sevens squad and represented the Blues in the World Club Sevens. Davies made his first team debut for the Blues in November 2014 scoring a try in the LV Cup match against Newcastle Falcons. In May 2016 it was announced that Davies had signed with Aviva Premiership side Bath for the 2016/17 season. Going on to make 7 appearances in all competitions for the club. Llantrisant Rugby Football Club is a Welsh rugby union team based in Llantrisant in the county of Rhondda Cynon Taff. Llantrisant RFC plays in the Welsh Rugby Union, Division One East League and is a feeder club for the Cardiff Blues. The nickname 'The Black Army' relates to the fact that the longbowmen of Llantrisant sided victoriously with Edward, the Black Prince at the Battle of Crecy. Wales National Rugby Sevens Team
The Wales national rugby sevens team competes in the World Rugby Sevens Series, the Rugby World Cup Sevens and in the Commonwealth Games. Wales were the World Cup Sevens Champions after winning the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens in the United Arab Emirates. But they relinquished that title after failing to defend their crown at the 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Moscow. The Welsh sevens squad was disbanded by the Welsh Rugby Union due to financial constraints. After a three-year absence, the Wales sevens team returned to international competition in the 2006–07 season. They competed at half of the eight tournaments and won the plate competition (fifth place) at each of them. They repeated this feat at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. Premiership Rugby, officially known as Gallagher Premiership Rugby, or the Gallagher Premiership for sponsorship reasons, is an English professional rugby union competition. The Premiership has consisted of thirteen clubs since 2021, and is the top division of the English rugby union system. Premiership clubs qualify for Europe's two main club competitions, the European Rugby Champions Cup and the European Rugby Challenge Cup. The winner of the second division, the RFU Championship is promoted to the Premiership and until 2020, the team finishing at the bottom of the Premiership each season was relegated to the Championship. Newcastle Falcons is a rugby union team that play in Premiership Rugby, England's highest division of rugby union. The club was established in 1877 as the Gosforth Football Club. Around 1882 the club merged with the Northumberland Football Club and briefly assumed their name until 1887. In 1990, the name was changed to Newcastle Gosforth and the club began to play at Kingston Park stadium in Kingston Park, Newcastle upon Tyne. In 1996, following the start of professionalism the club briefly adopted the name Newcastle Rugby Club before adopting its current name. Newcastle has won 5 major titles. The Anglo-Welsh Cup (), was a cross-border rugby union knock-out cup competition that featured the 12 Premiership Rugby clubs and the four Welsh regions. It was a created as a replacement for the RFU Knockout Cup, which featured only English clubs. Major League Rugby (MLR or USMLR) is a professional rugby union competition and the top-level championship for clubs in North America.
