Harry Arora
Harry Arora (born December 16, 1969) is an Indian-born American politician who served as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 151st District, serving from 2020 to 2023. In 2018, Arora ran against incumbent Jim Himes in the race for Connecticut's Fourth District in the United States House of Representatives. He was the Republican nominee for Connecticut State Treasurer in the 2022 election. Early life and education Arora was born December 16, 1969, in New Delhi, India. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering at Delhi College of Engineering. He came to Austin, Texas, to complete a Master of Business Administration in Finance in 1992. Erick Russell is an American politician from Connecticut. A member of the Democratic Party, he is the Connecticut State Treasurer. He is the first openly gay African American elected to a statewide office in the United States. WTIC-TV (channel 61) is a television station in Hartford, Connecticut, United States, serving the Hartford–New Haven market as an affiliate of the Fox network. It is owned by Tegna Inc. alongside Waterbury-licensed CW affiliate WCCT-TV (channel 20). ''Greenwich Time'' is a daily newspaper based in Greenwich, Connecticut, United States. The paper shares an editor and publisher with '' The Advocate'' of nearby Stamford, Connecticut. Both papers are owned and operated by the Hearst Corporation. In 1977, Southern Connecticut Newspapers, which owned the ''Time'' and the ''Stamford Advocate'', was acquired by Times Mirror. Times Mirror was acquired by Tribune in 2000. In March 2007, Tribune announced it would sell the two papers to Gannett for US$73 million, but the deal fell through when Gannett refused to honor 35 ''Advocate'' newsroom workers' union contract with Local 2110 of United Auto Workers.
