State Trunk Highway 55 (often called Highway 55, STH-55, or WIS 55) is a state highway in Wisconsin, United States. There are 72 counties in the U.S. State of Wisconsin. The land that eventually became Wisconsin was transferred from British to American control with the 1783 signing of the Treaty of Paris. Calumet County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 52,442. The county seat is Chilton. The county was created in 1836 (then in the Wisconsin Territory) and organized in 1850. Calumet County is included in the Appleton, WI Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the Appleton- Oshkosh-Neenah, WI Combined Statistical Area. Harrison (town), Calumet County, Wisconsin
Harrison is a town in Calumet County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 10,839 at the 2010 census and 3,471 in 2013 after the incorporation of the Village of Harrison. After continued annexations, the Town of Harrison now consists of 6.2 acres of unpopulated land located off of Oneida Street, which is owned by the City of Menasha. The Village of Harrison and Town of Buchanan are collectively known locally as Darboy. Harrison was originally known as Lima. On March 8, 2013, the village of Harrison was created from the northwest part of the town. Area code 920 is a telephone area code in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) for a large area of eastern Wisconsin. It was created on July 26, 1997, in a split from area code 414, which formerly served the entire eastern third of the state. 920 is scheduled to be overlaid with area code 274 on May 5, 2023. In 2008, service providers recognized the need for a second area code for northeastern Wisconsin, leading the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin to approve an overlay plan with new area code 274. However, the Great Recession, number porting, a decline in landlines, and other factors delayed that requirement for fifteen years during which implementation was deferred several times.
