Harold Howard
Harold Clarence Howard (born 1958) is a Canadian retired martial artist who earned a blackbelt in Jujutsu under Steve Reynolds and in Gōjū-Ryū Karate under Yogi Israel and was the first World Sport Jujutsu Heavyweight Champion in 1984. Howard is more widely known for competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship where he made it to the final of the Ultimate Fighting Championship's third tournament. Howard is also well known for once executing a scissor-flip kick during his battle with Steve Jennum in the UFC 3 finals. Biography Early life Howard grew up in Richmond Hill, Ontario. He began training at age 17 with Steve Reynolds in Jiu-Jitsu Kai. Harold moved to Niagara Falls in 1983 and taught Karate and Jiu Jitsu at James Morden School and the YMCA. Harold Palmer Howard
Harold Palmer Howard (November 24, 1866 – March 1, 1951) was a brigadier general in the United States Army during World War I. Education and military career He attended the United States Military Academy and graduated in 1891. On February 2, 1901, he was appointed to the rank of captain and served with the 14th Cavalry. This was followed by a tour as quartermaster at Fort Keogh, Montana, in charge of the Remount Depot from June 24, 1909, to December 1912. Before World War I, Howard participated in the Spanish–American War and the Philippine insurrection. His Silver Star citations are from his service there. During World War I, he commanded the 82nd Field Artillery and 17th Field Artillery Brigade. He retired as a colonel in 1920, but his rank of brigadier general was restored by act of Congress in June 1930. Sir Seymour Howard, 1st Baronet
Sir Harold Walter Seymour Howard, 1st Baronet (1886–1967) was an English stockbroker and Liberal politician who served as Lord Mayor of London. Background Howard was born on 8 April 1886. His father was William Albert Howard (1854-1940) and his mother, Elizabeth Mary Seymour. He married Edith Maud Turner on 10 September 1913. They had two sons: Sir Hamilton Edward de Coucey Howard, 2nd Baronet (1915-2001). David Seymour de Coucey Howard (1919-1954). Later, they resided at Adelaide Crescent in Hove, East Sussex. He became a Knight Commander in the Order of Christ of Portugal and a Knight of Grace in the Order of St. John of Jerusalem. In February 1955, he was knighted.
