Harmonia
In Greek mythology, Harmonia (; grc, Ἁρμονία / harmoˈnia/, "harmony", "agreement") is the immortal goddess of harmony and concord. Her Roman counterpart is Concordia. Harmonia (band)
Harmonia was a West German musical "supergroup" formed in 1973 as a collaboration between members of two prominent krautrock bands: Cluster's Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius joined by Neu! guitarist Michael Rother. Living and recording in the rural village of Forst, the trio released two albums—''Musik von Harmonia'' (1974) and '' Deluxe'' (1975)—to limited sales before dissolving in 1976. In 1997, a series of shelved 1976 collaborations between Harmonia and British musician Brian Eno saw release as ''Tracks and Traces''; it was reissued with more unearthed material in 2009. Following the release of the live album ''Live 1974'' (2007), the trio reformed between 2007 and 2009. In 2015, Grönland Records released the 6-disc box set ''Complete Works'', featuring remastered recordings and archival material. Wiay, Inner Hebrides
Wiay, pronounced "waya" (Gaelic: Fuidheigh) is an uninhabited island in Loch Bracadale, off the coast of the Isle of Skye Wiay is approximately wide by long and lies west of Ullinish, and north of Fiskavaig on the Minginish Peninsula. It is the largest island in Loch Bracadale, with an area of . Most of the coastline consists of cliffs up to high, and the southern bluff is a striking overhanging cliff of . The highest point of the island is . Wiay is noted for its stunning sea arches and large echoing sea caves, one of which is reputed to be haunted by an English ghost. Hans-Joachim Roedelius
Hans-Joachim Roedelius (born 26 October 1934) is a German electronic musician and composer, best known as a co-founder of the influential 'kosmische' groups Cluster and Harmonia. He also performed in the ambient jazz trio Aquarello, and released several solo studio albums. Biography Early life Roedelius was born on 26 October 1934 in Berlin in the family of a dentist. He was an unwilling member of the German Youngsters in the Hitler Youth, membership being mandatory for all boys from the age of ten, and appeared in several propaganda films (''Faded Melody'' by Viktor Tourjansky in 1938 ; ''Riding for Germany'' by Arthur Maria Rabenalt in 1941). Roedelius and his mother Gertrud were evacuated from Berlin to a small hamlet in East Prussia. is a Japanese singer from Osaka Prefecture and is signed to Lantis. Career ChouCho initially formed the band ''Lotus Lotus'' in 2007 when still in high school and performed covers of songs from anime. Starting in June 2008, ChouCho began submitting videos of her singing on the Nico Nico Douga video sharing website. Lô Borges (Born Salomão Borges Filho on January 10, 1952) is a Brazilian songwriter, singer, and guitarist. Broken Dog is an English, London-based experimental rock band, started in 1994. Broken Dog were formed by Martine Roberts and Clive Painter in London in the summer of 1994 and disbanded in 2004 following their fifth album ''Harmonia''. WFIU (103.7 MHz) is a public radio station broadcasting from Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) in Bloomington, Indiana, United States. The station is a member station of NPR, Public Radio International and American Public Media. Together with IUB-owned television station WTIU (channel 30), it is known as Indiana Public Media. Studios are located in the Radio-Television Building on the IUB campus, and the transmitter is located at a site on South Sare Road in Bloomington. ''Harmonia Sacra'' is a Mennonite shape note hymn and tune book, originally published as ''A Compilation of Genuine Church Music'' in 1832 (Winchester, Virginia) by Joseph Funk (1778–1862). The original publication was a "four-shape" shape note book using the shapes and syllables "faw, sol, law, and mi". Funk designed ''A Compilation of Genuine Church Music'' for use in singing schools. It contained 208 pages, including rudiments of music and tunes harmonized for three voices. Funk released a second edition in 1835, and a third in 1842. The 1847 fourth edition was the first publication by Joseph Funk and Sons at Singers Glen. The name was changed to ''Harmonia Sacra'' in 1851, using the original title as a subtitle. In 1851, Funk also changed from the four-shapes to the seven-shape shape note system. Rather than adopt the Aikin system, Funk devised his own.
