Hari Narayen Ramkaran
Hari Narayen Ramkaran (born 11 August 1946), known as Ralph Ramkarran, is a Guyanese politician and lawyer. He served as Speaker of the National Assembly of Guyana from 2001 to 2011. Biography He attended Bel Air Primary school, Central High School and Queen's College. After his high school education, he then went on to the UK to study law. Raphael Trotman
Raphael Trotman (born 1966) is a Guyana, Guyanese lawyer and politician. He was the List of Speakers of the National Assembly of Guyana, Speaker of the National Assembly of Guyana from 2011 to 2015. He was the country's Minister for Natural Resources from 2015 to 2020. A former executive member of the People's National Congress (Guyana), People's National Congress Reform, Trotman co-founded the Alliance for Change (Guyana), Alliance For Change (AFC) in 2005 along with Khemraj Ramjattan and Sheila Holder. A New and United Guyana (ANUG) is a political party in Guyana. History The party was founded in January 2019, with its main goal being shared governance, along with reducing poverty, consensus on governing the oil industry and climate change as major areas of focus. Central High School, Guyana
Central High School was founded in Georgetown, Guyana, in 1927 by Joseph Clement Luck, and became the largest private educational establishment in the country, providing both primary and secondary education. In September 2019, it was announced that Central High was being merged with St. Mary's High School, to become "The New Central High School". Queen's College, Guyana
Queen's College (QC) is a public secondary school in Georgetown, Guyana. History It was established in 1844 by Bishop William Piercy Austin as an Anglican grammar school for boys and was aimed at educating the colonial elite. The school was temporarily quartered at what is the current location of the High Court before moving to another property at Main and Quamina Street until 1854. The current site of Bishops' High School was the location of Queen's College from 1854 to 1918. From there it moved to another property at Brickdam and Vlissingen Road, until 1951, when it moved to its current location. The final move saw significant expansion of classrooms and facilities, however an arson attack destroyed 1997. The Honourable Society of Gray's Inn, commonly known as Gray's Inn, is one of the four Inns of Court (professional associations for barristers and judges) in London. To be called to the bar in order to practise as a barrister in England and Wales, an individual must belong to one of these inns. Located at the intersection of High Holborn and Gray's Inn Road in Central London, the Inn is a professional body and provides office and some residential accommodation for barristers.
