Hans Langerijs (born 14 January 1953) is a Dutch former racing cyclist. He rode in the 1980 Tour de France. Blokker, Netherlands
Blokker is a village in the northwest Netherlands, in the province of North Holland and the region of West Friesland. History and geography Blokker consists of two parts: Westerblokker in the municipality of Hoorn, and Oosterblokker in Drechterland. Until 1979, Blokker was a separate municipality. The village was one of the locations of the only three concerts on Dutch soil by The Beatles, during their 1964 world tour. That they played in Blokker was due to Ben Essing, the son of the mayor. Essing had also managed to get other acts to play in the Blokker auction hall, and organized a "Dutch Teener Fest" in 1964 and 1965, which made international headlines. Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne is an annual single-day road cycling race in Belgium. It is held one day after Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, on the last Sunday of February or the first of March, and completes the opening weekend of the Belgian cycling season. It is ranked a 1.HC event of the UCI Europe Tour. Tom Boonen holds the most wins with three victories. History Early editions First held in 1946, the race was run from Kuurne, a small town known for its textile industry, to the Belgian capital of Brussels and back. In the 1950s it served as the opening race of the Belgian cycling season. When Brussels was becoming inaccessible for a cycling event in the late 1960s, the race was rerouted towards the Flemish Ardennes and renamed "Omloop der beide Vlaanderen" ''("Circuit of both Flanders")''.
