Each roster consisted of 15 players, where 14 can be chosen for each match. The players could be changed without restrictions. The men's handball tournament at the 2024 Summer Olympics was the 15th edition of the handball event for men at the Summer Olympic Games. It was held from 27 July to 11 August 2024. The preliminary round games were played at the South Paris Arena 6 in Paris and the final games at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille, France. Denmark won their second title with a win over Germany. It was Denmark's third final in a row and the biggest win in an olympic final. Spain captured the bronze medal after a victory against Slovenia. David Späth (born 29 April 2002) is a German handball player for Rhein-Neckar Löwen and the Germany men's national handball team, German national team. Alfreð Gíslason
Alfreð Gíslason (born 7 September 1959) is an Icelandic handball coach and former player who is currently the head coach of the German men's national team. He won titles in Iceland, Germany and Spain as a player before starting his coaching career in 1991 with Icelandic team KA as a player-coach. He later coached German club SC Magdeburg, where he won the Bundesliga and the EHF Champions League, the Icelandic men's national team and German club THW Kiel, where he won six Bundesliga, six DHB-Pokal and two EHF Champions League titles.
