Hampstead And Westminster Hockey Club
Hampstead & Westminster Hockey Club is a field hockey club based in London, England. It was established in 1894. The home ground is at Paddington Recreation Ground, Maida Vale. The Men's First Team play in the Men's England Hockey League and the Women's First Team play in the Women's England Hockey League. The rest of the men's teams play in the Higgins Group London Hockey League. The women's teams play in the South Hockey League and the Middlesex Women's League. The club is considered to be one of the largest adult hockey clubs in the UK and fields 12 Men's teams and 7 Ladies' sides, as well as various other mixed, junior and veterans sides. Paddington Recreation Ground
Paddington Recreation Ground is a park in Maida Vale, City of Westminster, just north of Paddington. Its 27-acre site is the largest area of parkland located entirely within the City of Westminster. It was the first park of its kind in London, having operated since 1888.Crowe 1987 Annually, it attracts over 1.5 million users, who visit the Recreation Ground for its green-space value. 2018–19 Women's England Hockey League Season
The 2018–19 Women's England Hockey League season or Investec Hockey League (for sponsorship reasons) was the 2018–19 season of England's field hockey league structure. The regular season started on 22 September 2018 until 30 March 2019, with a winter break in December and January for the Indoor season. The playoffs took place on 13 and 14 April. Holcombe topped the regular season table but Surbiton sealed the Championship after winning the playoffs. Clifton Robinsons won the season ending Cup competition. Emily Maguire (field Hockey)
Emily Maguire (born 17 December 1987 in Glasgow) is a Scottish international field hockey player who plays as a defender. She represented Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She competed for the national team in the women's tournament, winning a bronze medal. With over 150 international caps, she also represented Scotland at the 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games Maguire helped Scotland retain its A division status at the EHF Nations Championship in 2013 and in 2015. In June 2015 she was selected in the victorious Great Britain team at the 2015 Hockey World League Semi Finals which secured qualification for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
