Hamari Bahu Alka
''Hamari Bahu Alka'' (Our Daughter-in-Law Alka) is a 1982 Hindi movie, directed by Basu Chatterjee, based on the Bengali story ''Eto Tuku Basha'' by Manoj Basu. It stars Rakesh Roshan, Bindiya Goswami and Utpal Dutt. Music was by Rajesh Roshan, and it had the first solo song for Alka Yagnik. Plot Collegian Pratapchand alias Pratap lives with his father, Badriprasad, a building contractor, his housewife mom, and a younger brother named Ramu. Badriprasad is always critical of Pratap, and never a day passes without Pratap being reminded of his shortcomings. When Pratap's friend, Sunil marries Sudha, Badriprasad arranges Pratap's marriage with a village belle named Alka, much to Pratap's chagrin. Basu Chatterjee
Basu Chatterjee ( bn, বাসু চ্যাটার্জ্জী; 10 January 1927 – 4 June 2020) was an Indian film director and screenwriter. Through the 1970s and 1980s, Chatterjee became associated with what came to be known as middle cinema or middle-of-the-road cinema filmmakers, such as Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Bhattacharya, whom he assisted on ''Teesri Kasam'' (1966). Master Raju
Fahim Ajani or Raju Shrestha, initially credited as Master Raju or Master Rajoo, is an Indian film and television actor, who started his film career as a child actor, in the 1970s. Raju has acted in films like Gulzar's '' Parichay'', Hrishikesh Mukherjee's ''Bawarchi'' (1972), Yash Chopra's '' Daag: A Poem of Love'' (1973), Basu Chatterjee's ''Chitchor'' (1976) and Gulzar's ''Kitaab'' (1977). Amit Kumar (born 3 July 1952) is an Indian playback singer, actor, music composer. Kumar launched his own music production company, named Kumar Brothers Music. He predominantly worked in Bollywood and regional film songs since the 1970s, including 150 Hindi and Bengali compositions by R. D. Burman. Shailendra Singh is an Indian playback singer and actor. He sang several Hindi and a few Marathi songs during the late 1970s and early 1980s. He was very close to Mehmood Ali. Early life Shailendra Singh was born on 4 October 1952 in Mumbai, India to a Punjabi family. Kishore Kumar (born as Abhas Kumar Ganguly (); 4 August 1929 – 13 October 1987) was an Indian playback singer and actor. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest, most influential and dynamic singers in the history of Indian music. Sudha Shivpuri (14 July 1937 – 20 May 2015) was an Indian actress who was most famous for her role as Baa in the Hindi TV serial '' Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'' (2000–2008). Early life and career Brought up in Rajasthan, Sudha Shivpuri started her career early, when she was in the eighth standard in school. Her father had died, and her mother had fallen ill, thus the onus of earning a living for the family fell on her. She is an alumna of National School of Drama graduating in 1963 along with Om Shivpuri. They later got married in 1968 and continued work in Delhi theatre.
