Hallelujah Hits (London Boys Album)
''Hallelujah Hits'' is the fourth and final album by the London Boys although it was titled to the New London Boys. It was released in 1995. The album consists of the traditional religious anthems in Eurodance arrangements. Both 'Gospel Train To London' and 'Kumbaya' were released as singles in Germany. 'Gospel Train To London' had a promotional video created for the single which would be the last video to feature the duo. Both members Edem Ephraim and Dennis Fuller died in a car crash in January 1996. London Boys were a German-based United Kingdom, British dance-pop Musical duo, duo composed of Edem Ephraim (1 July 1959, London, UK – 21 January 1996) and Dennis Fuller (19 June 1959, Jamaica – 21 January 1996). They are best remembered for the UK Top 5 hits "Requiem (London Boys song), Requiem" and "London Nights (song), London Nights". The duo were killed when their car was hit by a drunk driver in the Eastern Alps, Austria, on 21 January 1996. "''Kum ba yah''" ("''Come by here''") is an African American spiritual song of disputed origin, but known to be sung in the Gullah culture of the islands off South Carolina and Georgia, with ties to enslaved West Africans. The song is thought to have spread from the islands to other Southern states and the North, as well as other places in the world. The first known recording, of someone known only as H. Wylie, who sang in the Gullah dialect, was recorded by folklorist Robert Winslow Gordon in 1926. It later became a standard campfire song in Scouting and summer camps and enjoyed broader popularity during the folk revival of the 1950s and 1960s. "Go Down Moses" is a spiritual phrase that describes events in the Old Testament of the Bible, specifically Exodus 5:1: "And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me", in which God commands Moses to demand the release of the Israelites from bondage in Egypt.
