Haining
() is a county-level city in Zhejiang Province, China, and under the jurisdiction of Jiaxing. It is in the south side of Yangtze River Delta, and in the north of Zhejiang. It is to the southwest of central Shanghai, and east of Hangzhou, the provincial capital. To its south lies the Qiantang River. The city has a land area of and as of the 2020 census, had a population of 1,076,199 inhabitants. Haining is known for its leather industry and spectacular tide in the Qiantang River. Shanghai–Hangzhou High-speed Railway
The Shanghai–Hangzhou high-speed railway (), also known as the Huhang high-speed railway or Huhang passenger railway is a high-speed rail line in China between Shanghai and Hangzhou, Zhejiang. The line is in length and designed for commercial train service at . It was built in 20 months and opened on October 26, 2010. The line shortened travel time between the two cities from 78 to 45 minutes. The Hangzhou–Haining Intercity Rail (, abbreviation: HHCJ), also known as the Hanghai line, is a commuter rail line connected to, but operated independently of the Hangzhou Metro that connects the cities Hangzhou and Haining in Zhejiang, China. The total length is and has 12 stations, including 4 underground stations and 8 elevated stations and 2 stations with passing loops for express services.
