Haddon Donald
Haddon Vivian Donald, (20 March 1917 – 23 April 2018) was a New Zealand soldier, businessman and politician of the National Party. He was the oldest living former New Zealand Member of Parliament, and at the time of his death, was the highest-ranking New Zealand army officer of World War II living. During the war, Donald served as an officer for the 22nd Battalion rising to the rank of lieutenant colonel. After his military service, Donald represented Wairarapa in the parliament from 1963 to 1969. Early life Donald was born in 1917 at Masterton, the son of Vivian Everard Donald and Gertrude Blanche Donald (née Mills). He was educated at Nelson College from 1930 to 1932, and afterwards at Wairarapa College. Military life He joined the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in 1939. Haddon King
Haddon Rymer Forrester King (4 February 1905 – 1990), was an Australian geologist, winner of the Clarke Medal in 1972. King was born in Georgetown, British Guiana, son of George Forrester King and his wife Jessie Ann, née Kingsland. In 1926 he started as a surveyor’s assistant on the Geological Survey of British Guiana under the supervision of H. J. C. (Terence) Conolly. King obtained his surveyor’s licence in 1929 and then moved to Canada where he studied mining engineering at the University of Toronto (B.A.Sc., 1934). King gained experience in mineral exploration working with Conolly in the Timmins and Sudbury Basin regions. Haddon Robinson
Haddon W. Robinson (21 March 1931 22 July 2017) was the Harold John Ockenga Distinguished Professor of Preaching, senior director of the Doctor of Ministry program, and former interim President at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He was also the founding President of thTheology of Work Project Biography A native of New York City, he received a bachelor's degree from Bob Jones University, a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary, a M.A. from Southern Methodist University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. Dr. Robinson also served as president of Denver Conservative Baptist Seminary (now known as Denver Seminary) for 12 years (1979–1991), and taught homiletics on the faculty of Dallas Theological Seminary for 19 years. Haddon Storey (born 15 May 1930) is a former Australian politician. He was born in Melbourne to Elsdon Storey, a dentist, and Gwendoline Alberta Bellett, a dental nurse. He attended Scotch College and Melbourne University, where he received a Master of Law. He was admitted as a barrister and solicitor, and practiced from 1955. He was joint editor of the Law Council of Australia's newsletter from 1963 to 1969 and lecturer at the Council of Legal Education from 1963 to 1975. He was a long-standing member of the Liberal Party and served on the state executive from 1967 to 1971. In 1971 he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Council as a member for East Yarra. He was Attorney-General and Minister for Federal Affairs from 1978 to 1982, Minister for Consumer Affairs from 1981 to 1982, Minister for Gaming, the Arts, and Tertiary Education and Training from 1992 to 1996, and deputy party leader in the upper house from 1979 to 1992. Haddon Hubbard "Sunny" Sundblom (June 22, 1899 – March 10, 1976) was an American artist of Swedish and Finnish descent and best known for the images of Santa Claus he created for The Coca-Cola Company. Sundblom's friend Lou Prentice was the original model for the illustrator's Santa. Background Sundblom was born in Muskegon, Michigan, to a Swedish-speaking family. His father, Karl Wilhelm Sundblom, was of the Swedish-speaking population of Finland and came from the farm Norrgårds in the village of Sonnboda in Föglö, Åland Islands, then part of the Russian Grand Duchy of Finland now Finland, while his mother Karin Andersson was from Sweden. Sundblom studied at the American Academy of Art. Career Sundblom is best remembered for his advertising work, specifically the Santa Claus advertisement.
