HMAS Platypus (naval Base)
HMAS ''Platypus'' is a former Royal Australian Navy (RAN) submarine base, located at 118 High Street, with moorings in , a suburb of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. It was located upon the site of the Royal Australian Navy Torpedo Maintenance Establishment (RANTME), it built on the site of the former North Sydney Gas Works that operated on the site from 1877 and resumed by the Commonwealth in 1942. The Fleet Intermediate Maintenance Activity (FIMA) Workshops building on the site was originally used for torpedo assembly and storage during World War 2. It was later modified for submarine maintenance and repair, with a steel tower added to the northern end of the building for testing, cleaning and maintenance of periscopes. HMAS Orion
HMAS ''Orion'' (S 61) was an ''Oberon'' class submarine of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). One of six submarines ordered by the RAN during the 1960s, ''Orion'', named after the constellation in a break from ship-naming tradition, was built in Scotland and commissioned in 1977. ''Orion'' was one of two Oberon-class submarines designed for intelligence gathering and conducted regular patrols in Soviet, Indian and Chinese waters to gather information regarding enemy capabilities. ''Orion'' was decommissioned in 1996, marked for disposal in 2003, and broken up for scrap in 2006. Several sections of the submarine remain intact as memorials and museum pieces. Marise Payne
Marise Ann Payne (born 29 July 1964) is an Australian politician who served in the Morrison Government as Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2018 to 2022 and as Minister for Women from 2019 to 2022. She has been a Senator for New South Wales since 1997, representing the Liberal Party. Payne was born in Sydney and attended the University of New South Wales. She was the first woman to serve as federal president of the Young Liberals (1989–1991). Payne was appointed to the Senate in 1997, in place of Bob Woods. The Biggest Loser Australia: Transformed, the eleventh and final season of the Australian version of the original NBC reality television series The Biggest Loser, premiered on 14 March 2017. The live series finale was held on Monday 1 May 2017 at 11 am during the airing of Studio 10. The season had very low viewership, routinely being beaten not only by rival commercial networks in the ratings, but also rating behind public broadcasters ABC and SBS. HMS ''Tabard'' was a British submarine of the third group of the T class. She was built by Scotts, Greenock, and launched on 21 November 1945. So far she has been the only boat of the Royal Navy to bear the name ''Tabard'', after the item of clothing. Having been launched after the war, she was selected, along with a number of boats of her class, to try out new streamlining techniques based on the German Type XXIII submarine. In May 1963, she was involved in a collision with , and on 10 February 1964 she underwent exercises with and in the hours before their collision.
