H3 (rocket)
The H3 rocket is a Japanese expendable launch system. H3 launch vehicles are liquid-propellant rockets with strap-on solid rocket boosters and are launched from Tanegashima Space Center in Japan. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and JAXA are responsible for the design, manufacture, and operation of the H3. The H3 is the world's first rocket to use an Expander cycle, expander bleed cycle for the first stage engine. , the minimum configuration is to carry a payload of up to into Sun-synchronous orbit (SSO) for about 5 billion Japanese yen, yen, and the maximum configuration is to carry more than into geostationary transfer orbit (GTO). The H324 variant will deliver more than of payload to Trans-lunar injection, lunar transfer orbit (TLI) and of payload to geostationary transfer orbit (GTO)(∆V=1830 m/s). Development Mitsubishi Heavy Industries supervised the development and manufacture of the H3 rocket's airframe and liquid-fuel engines, while IHI Corporation develop ...

Trihydrogen Cation
The trihydrogen cation or protonated molecular hydrogen ( IUPAC name: hydrogen onium ion) is a cation (positive ion) with formula , consisting of three hydrogen nuclei (protons) sharing two electrons. The trihydrogen cation is one of the most abundant ions in the universe. It is stable in the interstellar medium (ISM) due to the low temperature and low density of interstellar space. The role that plays in the gas-phase chemistry of the ISM is unparalleled by any other polyatomic ion. The trihydrogen cation is the simplest triatomic molecule, because its two electrons are the only valence electrons in the system. It is also the simplest example of a three-center two-electron bond system. History was first discovered by J. J. Thomson in 1911. While using an early form of mass spectrometry to study the resultant species of plasma discharges, he discovered a large abundance of a polyatomic ion with a mass-to-charge ratio of 3. He stated that the only two possibilities were ...

Hummer H3
The Hummer H3 is an off-road vehicle that was produced from 2005 to 2010 by General Motors. The smallest model of the Hummer lineup, it was offered as a 5-door SUV or a 4-door pickup truck known as the H3T. Unlike the larger Hummer H1, H1 and Hummer H2, H2 models, the H3 was not developed by AM General. It was introduced for the 2006 model year, based on a modified GM GMT platform#GMT 355, GMT355 that underpinned the Chevrolet Colorado, Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon compact pickup trucks that were also built at GM's Shreveport Operations in Shreveport, Louisiana and the Port Elizabeth plant in South Africa. While mechanically related to the Colorado and Canyon, GM claims they share only 10% of their components, with the chassis modified and reinforced for heavy off-road duties. Powertrains The H3 was launched with a 3.5 liter straight-5 cylinder GM Atlas engine#L52, L52 engine that produced and of torque and was mated to a standard five-speed Aisin AR5 manual transmission or ...

Histone H3
Histone H3 is one of the five main histones involved in the structure of chromatin in eukaryotic cells. Featuring a main globular domain and a long N-terminal end, N-terminal tail, H3 is involved with the structure of the nucleosomes of the 'beads on a string' structure. Histone proteins are highly post-translationally modified however Histone H3 is the most extensively modified of the five histones. The term "Histone H3" alone is purposely ambiguous in that it does not distinguish between sequence variants or modification state. Histone H3 is an important protein in the emerging field of epigenetics, where its sequence variants and variable modification states are thought to play a role in the dynamic and long term regulation of genes. Epigenetics and post-translational modifications The N-terminus of H3 protrudes from the globular nucleosome core and is susceptible to post-translational modification that influence cellular processes. These modifications include the covalen ...

Histamine H3 Receptor
Histamine H3 receptors are expressed in the central nervous system and to a lesser extent the peripheral nervous system, where they act as autoreceptors in presynaptic histaminergic neurons and control histamine turnover by feedback inhibition of histamine synthesis and release. The H3 receptor has also been shown to presynaptically inhibit the release of a number of other neurotransmitters (i.e. it acts as an inhibitory heteroreceptor) including, but probably not limited to dopamine, GABA, acetylcholine, noradrenaline, histamine and serotonin. The gene sequence for H3 receptors expresses only about 22% and 20% homology with both H1 and H2 receptors respectively. There is much interest in the histamine H3 receptor as a potential therapeutic target because of its involvement in the neuronal mechanism behind many cognitive disorders and especially its location in the central nervous system.Rapanelli, Maximiliano. “The Magnificent Two: Histamine and the H3 Receptor as Key Mod ...

Alstom Prima H3
Prima is a family of railway diesel and electric locomotives built by Alstom. Manufacture of the type commenced in the late 1990s. By 2008, Alstom had reportedly sold 1,750 Prima locomotives. The second generation Prima II was launched in 2009. The Prima H3 diesel/battery hybrid locomotive was launched in 2013. The Alstom Prima was superseded by Alstom Traxx in the summer of 2023. First generation During 1998, the French national railway operator, SNCF, placed a large order with train manufacturer Alstom for 120 electric locomotives, which was later on increased to 240, to perform both domestic and international freight services. The company decided to develop a new modular platform that would accommodate the requirements not only of the existing SNCF order, but to also comply with European interoperability standards, as well as a high degree of flexibility as to meet the divergent needs of different operators, potentially increasing the type's international appeal. In this ...

Great Wall Haval H3
The Great Wall Haval H3 (), also known as the Great Wall Hover, is a compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) produced by the Chinese manufacturer Great Wall Motors from April 2005 to 2012. It was the first Chinese car to be exported in large quantities to Western Europe in 2006, with 30,000 units shipped to Italy. Its main advantage over established European, North American and Asian rivals is its low comparative cost. A six-speed automatic concept version called the Great Wall Hover H7 was made and can reach speeds of up to 225 km/h or 140 mph. In Australia, it was badged as the Great Wall X240 until 2011, when the X240 nameplate was used on the Haval H5. Design and engineering One of the reasons for the comparatively low retail price of the Great Wall Haval H3 is that it is based heavily on older models by other manufacturers. The entry-level engine is the 4G64 2.4 litre gasoline inline-four supplied by Mitsubishi, the exterior resembles the Isuzu Axiom and the chassis ...

Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King
The Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King (company designation S-61) is an American twin-engine anti-submarine warfare (ASW) helicopter designed and built by Sikorsky Aircraft. A landmark design, it was one of the first ASW rotorcraft to use turboshaft engines. The Sea King has its origins in efforts by the United States Navy to counter the growing threat of Soviet submarines during the 1950s. Accordingly, the helicopter was specifically developed to deliver a capable ASW platform; in particular, it combined the roles of ''hunter'' and ''killer'', which had previously been carried out by two separate helicopters. The Sea King was initially designated ''HSS-2'', which was intended to imply a level of commonality to the earlier Sikorsky H-34, ''HSS-1''; it was subsequently redesignated as the ''SH-3A'' during the early 1960s. Introduced to service in 1961, it was operated by the United States Navy as a key ASW and utility asset for several decades prior to being replaced by the non-amphibious S ...
