H. A. Perera
Habarakadage Alosius Perera (10 May 1950 – 4 February 2010 as එච්. ඒ. පෙරේරා), popularly as H. A. Perera, was an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, theatre, and television. He is considered one of five actors who have dominated the Sri Lankan Stage by critics. Early years Perera was born on 10 May 1950 in Colombo, Sri Lanka as the second child in a family of five. His mother was Palagame Arachchige Mary Theresa and his father was Habarakadage Vincent Perera. He started primary education at Modera St. James's Primary School. He studied at the same school until the second grade and entered the De La Salle College, Modara from the third grade. Educated at De La Salle College up to Ordinary Level, he entered Kotahena Central College to study for Advanced Level. Perera died on 4 February 2010, aged 59, in hospital after a brief illness. Balangoda
Balangoda is a large town in Ratnapura District, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka, governed by an urban council located away from Colombo and from Ratnapura on Colombo - Batticaloa Highway(A4). Siri ( ) is a virtual assistant that is part of Apple Inc.'s iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, macOS, tvOS, and audioOS operating systems. Kala Keerthi Sumitra Peries (born 24 March 1934) is the first Sri Lankan female filmmaker and is known by all as the "Poetess of Sinhala Cinema". She also held the post of Sri Lanka's ambassador to France, Spain and the United Nations in the late 1990s. Lionel Wendt Art Centre
The Lionel Wendt Art Centre is a major art centre and theatre in Colombo, Sri Lanka, dedicated to the memory of Sri Lankan photographic artist Lionel Wendt. It combines live theatre and art exhibition, with two exhibition galleries and a theatre with over 600 seats. It is managed by a trust established by an Act of Parliament. History Early art exhibitions were held at Wendt's home, with the second and third taking place after Lionel Wendt's death in 1944. After his death, his brother Harry decided to open a centre in his brother's memory, but he died just a year after his brother. The construction of the centre was finished by their mutual friend, Harold Peiris, for whom one of the Centre's second galleries is named. Dhamma Jagoda (28 January 1941 – 4 February 1988) was the first Head of the Drama Unit at the National Television channel Rupavahini Corporation in Sri Lanka. He was a pioneer theater and television play director and actor in Sri Lanka.
