Güel
Güel is an old hamlet in the Ribagorça county in Province of Huesca, Huesca, Spain. It became part of Graus in 1972 (''Decret 3357/71, of December 23rd''). It is located at the right side of Isábena (river), Isavena river. In the north side there are the Güel mountains (max. 1.401 m), that are also called Morrons de güel. Graus
Graus (, ) is a village in the Spanish province of Huesca, located in the Pyrenees at the confluence of rivers Esera and Isabena. It is the administrative capital of the region. It is one of the areas of Aragon in which is still preserved the Aragonese language. The Battle of Graus took place here, and Spanish philosopher Baltasar Gracián y Morales was exiled here. During the Spanish Civil War, the village of Graus served as a fairly important local commercial center with 2,600 inhabitants around 1936. It was a libertarian stronghold and a centre of collectivization at that time. Geography The municipality of Graus today includes the towns of: Abenozas, Aguilar, Aguinalíu, Bellestar, Benavente de Aragón, Castarlenas, Centenera, Eixep, Güel, Chuseu, Panillo, La Puebla de Fantova, La Puebla del Mon, Pueyo de Marguillén, El Soler, Torre de Ésera, Torre de Obato, Torrelabad, Torres del Obispo and Las Ventas de Santa Lucía. Ribagorça
Ribagorça () or Ribagorza (; french: Rives Gorces) is a historical and natural region of Aragon and Catalonia. Located in the Pre-Pyrenees and Pyrenees area, most of its territory is mountainous. The region has been steadily losing population since mid 20th century. The Noguera Ribagorçana river is named after this region. Geography The region is located south of the French border with the Pallars in the east and the Sobrarbe in the west. The physiography of the Ribagorça natural region includes the Ésera, Isábena and Noguera Ribagorçana river basins with their tributaries. The region also encompasses the mountain ranges spanning the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees area that surrounds the basins of these south-flowing rivers. Isábena (river)
The Isábena is the principal tributary of the river Ésera, itself a tributary of the Cinca, which flows into the Ebro and thence to the Mediterranean Sea. Its head is 2,400 metres above sea level at a place called Es Sebollés, between the peaks Gallinero and Cibollés in the Pyrenees of High Aragon. Its valley lies primarily in the comarca of Ribagorza.
