It has a population of 1,865, and is composed of seventeen villages: Biharia, Dealu Frumos, Dealu OrdâncuÈ™ii, DobreÈ™ti, Gârda de Sus, Gârda Seacă (''Alsógirda''), GheÈ›ari (''Jégbarlang''), HănășeÈ™ti, HuzăreÈ™ti, Izvoarele, Munună, Ocoale, Plai, PliÈ™ti, ScoarÈ›a, Snide and SuceÈ™ti. The main village of the commune is located northwest of Câmpeni Câmpeni (German: ''Topesdorf''; Hungarian: ''Topánfalva'') is a town in Alba County, Transylvania, Romania. Roșia Montană (, "Roșia of the Mountains"; la, Alburnus Maior; hu, Verespatak, ; german: Goldbach, Rotseifen) is a commune of Alba County in the Apuseni Mountains of western Transylvania, Romania. It is located in the Valea Roșiei, through which the small river Roșia Montană flows. The commune is composed of sixteen villages: Bălmoșești, Blidești, Bunta, Cărpiniș (''Abrudkerpenyes''), Coasta Henții, Corna (''Szarvaspatak''), Curături, Dăroaia, Gârda-Bărbulești, Gura Roșiei (''Verespataktorka''), Iacobești, Ignățești, Roșia Montană, Șoal, Țarina, and Vârtop (''Vartop''). The rich mineral resources of the area have been exploited since Roman times or before. The state-run gold mine closed in late 2006 in advance of Romania's accession to the European Union. Bistra (german: Bistrau; hu, Bisztra) is a commune located in Alba County, Transylvania, Romania. It has a population of 5,066. It is composed of 35 villages: Aronești, Bălești, Bălești-Cătun, Bârlești, Bistra, Cheleteni, Ciuldești, Crețești, Dâmbureni, Dealu Muntelui, Durăști, Gănești, Gârde, Hodișești, Hudricești, Lipaia, Lunca Largă, Lunca Merilor, Mihăiești, Nămaș, Novăcești, Perjești, Poiana, Poiu, Rătitiș, Runcuri, Sălăgești, Ștefanca, Țărănești, Tolăcești, Tomnatec, Trișorești, Vârși-Rontu, Vârșii Mari and Vârșii Mici.
