Gábor Scheiring
Gábor Scheiring (born March 14, 1981) is a Hungarian economist and politician, National Assembly of Hungary, member of the National Assembly (MP) from Politics Can Be Different (LMP) National List between 2010 and 2014. He graduated from the Corvinus University of Budapest. He was a leading member of the Védegylet NGO, Védegylet which nominated László Sólyom to the position President of Hungary in 2005. He is an organizer and instructor of the Ökofeszt since 2005. He was one of the founders of the LMP in Spring 2009. He is responsible for the party's economic policy. He was a candidate as PM for Pestszentlőrinc (Budapest Constituency XXVII) in the 2010 Hungarian parliamentary election, 2010 national election. He was elected to the National Assembly from the LMP's National List. He was a member of the Economic and Information Technology Committee since May 14, 2010. National Assembly Of Hungary
The National Assembly ( hu, Országgyűlés, lit=Country Assembly) is the parliament of Hungary. The unicameral body consists of 199 (386 between 1990 and 2014) members elected to 4-year terms. Election of members is done using a semi-proportional representation: a mixed-member majoritarian representation with partial scorporo, compensation via transfer votes and mixed single vote; involving single-member districts and one list vote; parties must win at least 5% of the popular vote in order to gain list seats assembly. 2010 Hungarian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Hungary on 11 and 25 April 2010 to elect the members of the National Assembly. They were the sixth free elections since the end of the communist era. 386 Members of Parliament (MPs) were elected in a combined system of party lists and electoral constituencies. Electoral law in Hungary requires candidates to gather 500 signatures from citizens supporting their candidacy. In the first round of the elections, the conservative party Fidesz won the absolute majority of seats, enough to form a government on its own. In the second round, the alliance of Fidesz and the Christian Democratic People's Party (KDNP) won enough seats to achieve a two-thirds majority required to modify major laws and the country's constitution. Ökofeszt
The Ökofeszt or Ecofest was festival which was held to celebrate eco friendly ideas in Hungary. The first Ökofeszt was organized by Védegylet and Zöld Fiatalok and held on 15 and 16 April 2005 in Budapest. The slogan of the festival was ''Politics Can Be Different'' which led to the formation of an eponymous political party in 2009. Politics Can Be Different won seats in the National Assembly in the 2010 parliamentary election. The key issues of the festival were environmental protection, sustainable development and the fight against corruption in the current Hungarian political elite.
