Gynecologic ultrasonography or gynecologic sonography refers to the application of medical ultrasonography to the female pelvic organs (specifically the uterus, the ovaries, and the fallopian tubes) as well as the bladder, the adnexa, and the recto-uterine pouch. The procedure may lead to other medically relevant findings in the pelvis.This technique is useful to detect myomas or mullerian malformations. Gynoroentgenology is the abbreviation of gynecological roentgenology. It is the radiologic imaging of the gynecologic parts of the female human body in order to make a radiologic diagnosis of a gynecologic disease. The term gynecologic radiology is related to gynoroentgenology. Gynoroentgenologic imaging can detect and diagnose primary neoplasms, metastasis, therapy-related lesions, congenital lesions, inflammation, miscellaneous diseases, pseudolesions, normal variants, infection uterine arteriovenous malformations and cystic adenomyosis. Radiography
Radiography is an imaging technique using X-rays, gamma rays, or similar ionizing radiation and non-ionizing radiation to view the internal form of an object. Salpingitis
Salpingitis is an infection causing inflammation in the Fallopian tubes (also called ''salpinges'').
