Gymnastics At The 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's Artistic Team All-around
The women's artistic team all-around competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held on 9 August 2016 at the HSBC Arena. The United States finished first in qualifications and then won the event final by over eight points. It was the USA's second consecutive Olympic team gold. The 2016 team, known as the Final Five, was led by Simone Biles, who performed on all four events in the final. Russia won their second consecutive Olympic team silver. Competition format The top 8 teams in qualifications, based on combined scores of each apparatus, advanced to the final. In the final, each team selected three gymnasts to compete on each apparatus. All scores on each apparatus were summed to give a final team score. The scores in qualification did not count in the final. The Final Five was the United States women's national gymnastics team, United States women's team in artistic gymnastics that won Gymnastics at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's artistic team all-around, the team event at the Gymnastics at the 2016 Summer Olympics, 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. It was the United States' third gold medal in the event and second outside the United States. Gymnastics At The 2012 Summer Olympics – Women's Artistic Team All-around
The final of the women's artistic team all-around competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics was held at the North Greenwich Arena in London on 31 July 2012. Eight teams qualified for the final, from a total of twelve that competed in the qualifications round. Each team was composed of five gymnasts. In the final, each team selected three gymnasts to compete on each apparatus. All three scores on each apparatus were summed to give a final team score. The United States team, known as the Fierce Five, finished first in qualifications and won the gold medal in the final. Russia won the silver, and Romania won the bronze. It was Romania's 10th consecutive Olympic medal in the event, a streak that started in 1976. Sae Miyakawa
is a Japanese artistic gymnast. She represented Japan at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics and won a bronze medal on the vault. She also competed at the 2015 World Championships where she finished fourth on the floor exercise and at the 2017 World Championships where she finished eighth on the vault. She was a member of the team that won a gold medal at the 2015 Asian Championships, and individually, she won the silver medal on the vault and the bronze medal on the floor exercise. is a Japanese female artistic gymnast. She is the 2015 Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships, 2015 Asian team and all-around champion and uneven bars and floor exercise silver medalist. Mai Murakami
is a retired Japanese artistic gymnast and Olympic medalist. She is the 2017 World Champion and 2021 World Champion on floor exercise, the 2018 World all-around silver medalist and floor exercise bronze medalist, and a four-time Japanese national all-around champion (2016–2018, 2020). She represented Japan at the 2016 and 2020 Olympics, winning a bronze medal on floor exercise in the latter. Asuka Teramoto
is a Japanese gymnast. Teramoto was born in Komaki, Aichi. Her first major international senior competition was the 2011 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Tokyo, Japan. In the team all-around finals, she contributed on vaulting, uneven bars, and balance beam towards the Japanese team's 7th-place finish. She also qualified for the uneven bars final in 8th place.
