Gymnastics At The 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's Artistic Team All-around
The Men's artistic gymnastics team all-around (AA) competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro was held on 8 August 2016 at the HSBC Arena. The medals were presented by Tsunekazu Takeda ( Japan), Ivo Ferriani (Italy) and Luis Alberto Moreno ( Colombia) and members of the International Olympic Committee. Gifts were presented by Bruno Grandi (President of the FIG), Michel Léglise (Vice President of the FIG) and Jani Tanskanen (President of the Athletes' Commission for the FIG). Competition format The top 8 teams in qualifications, based on combined scores of each apparatus, advanced to the final. In the final, each team selected three gymnasts to compete on each apparatus. All scores on each apparatus were summed to give a final team score. The scores in qualification do not count in the final. HSBC Arena
Jeunesse Arena is an indoor multi-purpose arena, located in the region of Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is named for the American cosmetics company Jeunesse Global through a naming rights deal closed in 2017. Before, the sponsor name was HSBC Arena. The arena was completed in July 2007 and was first known as Arena Olímpica do Rio ''(Rio Olympic Arena)'', which it was known as during the 2016 Summer Olympics. Gymnastics At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's Artistic Team All-around
The men's artistic team all-around event at the 2020 Summer Olympics was held on 26 July 2021 at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre. After qualifications, where Japan, China, and the ROC were separated by only three tenths of a point, ROC narrowly won the competition by a tenth of a point over host nation Japan in silver medal position. It is ROC's first title since the 1996 Summer Olympics, when they competed as Russia. China repeated their bronze medal finish from the 2016 Summer Olympics. After the ROC women won the team all-around title the following day, ROC became the first nation to win both the men's and women's team all-around titles at the same Olympics since China did so at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Bruno Grandi
Bruno Grandi (9 May 1934 – 13 September 2019) was an Italian sportsman who served as president of the FIG (Federation Internationale de Gymnastique) from 1996 to 2016 and was a member of the International Olympic Committee from 2000 to 2004. He was also an Italian junior gymnast, but achieved more gymnastics success in a non-performing capacity, rising to become president of the FIG. Biography A native of Forlì, Emilia Romagna, Grandi served as Professor of Physical education at the High Institute of Physical Education in Rome. He was a member of the Italian Artistic Gymnastic Juniors team, national coach of the Italian Men's junior's team and the long-time President of the Italian Gymnastics Federation (1977-2000). Luis Alberto Moreno Mejía (born 3 May 1953) is a Colombian businessman and former diplomat who served as president of the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) from 2005 to 2020. He was Colombia's Ambassador to the United States under president Andrés Pastrana Arango and the former President of the Instituto de Fomento Industrial. Ivo Ferriani (born 5 March 1960) is an Italian sports official and bobsledder. In September 2010, he was elected President of the Fédération Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing (FIBT), ending the 16-year presidency of Canada's Robert H. Storey. In 2016, Ferriani became a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Athletic career Ferriani was on the bobsleigh team from 1984 to 1990. He competed for Italy at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, finishing 19th in the two-man event.
