Gymnastics At The 2004 Summer Olympics – Men's Artistic Individual All-around
The men's individual all-around competition was one of eight events for male competitors in the artistic gymnastics discipline contested in the gymnastics at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. The qualification and final rounds took place on August 14 and August 18 at the Olympic Indoor Hall. There were 98 competitors from 31 nations. Each nation could enter a team of 6 gymnasts or up to 2 individual gymnasts. The event was won by Paul Hamm of the United States, the nation's first victory in the men's all-around since the 1904 Games in St. Louis and second overall. It was the first medal of any color for an American in the men's all-around since the 1984 Games in Los Angeles. South Korea took two medals (the maximum possible under the new rule limiting finalists to two per nation), a silver for Kim Dae-Eun and a bronze for Yang Tae Young. Paul Elbert Hamm (born September 24, 1982 in Washburn, Wisconsin) is a retired United States, American artistic gymnastics, artistic gymnast. He is the 2004 Olympic Games, 2004 Olympic all-around champion, a three-time Gymnastics at the Summer Olympics, Olympic medalist, and the 2003 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, World all-around champion. Yordan Yovchev
Yordan Yovchev Yovchev ( bg, Йордан Йовчев Йовчев; born February 24, 1973), also spelled Jordan Jovtchev, is a retired Bulgarian gymnast. He took part in six consecutive Olympic Games, more than any other Bulgarian athlete in Olympic history. He is president of the Bulgarian Gymnastics Federation and also serves as a sports commentator. Biography Yovchev was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Benoît Caranobe
Benoît Caranobe (born 12 June 1980 in Vitry-sur-Seine) is a French former gymnast who won a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Yernar Yerimbetov
Yernar Yerimbetov (born February 15, 1980, in Almaty) is a Kazakhstani gymnast. Yerimbetov trained under the old Soviet system until the USSR dissolved. He first competed internationally at age 17, in the 1997 Junior International. He finished 24th All Around (AA) with a 46.650. Brett Dallas McClure (born February 19, 1981 in Yakima, Washington) is a retired American gymnast.
