Gwendolyn Buray Ecleo-Pols (born August 25, 1974) is a Filipino politician who has been the unopposed Mayor of Dinagat, Dinagat Islands, Philippines since May 2004 until 2013, and also the ''Philippine Benevolent Missionaries Association, Incorporated'' ( PBMA, INC.) Princess. Biography Ecleo is the youngest daughter of the late Supreme President of P.B.M.A & the former longest running Mayor of Dinagat Islands, Ruben Edera Ecleo, Sr. and Glenda B. Ecleo, the former Congresswoman who is now the Governor of the province of Dinagat Islands. As for her primary education, Ecleo went to Saint Theresa's College of Cebu City, in Cebu City. She went to high school in La Consolacion College Manila and continued her studies in Don Jose Ecleo Memorial Foundation and graduated in the year 1990. Dinagat, officially the Municipality of Dinagat ( Surigaonon: ''Lungsod nan Dinagat''; ceb, Lungsod sa Dinagat; tl, Bayan ng Dinagat), is a 5th class municipality in the province of Dinagat Islands, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 10,621 people. History Founded under the order of Governor-General Manuel Crespo as a pueblo in April 25, 1855, the municipality is the oldest of the whole province. La Consolación College Manila is a private Catholic basic and higher education institution run by the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation (ASOLC) in the City of Manila, Philippines. Basilisa, officially the Municipality of Basilisa ( Surigaonon: ''Lungsod nan Basilisa''; ceb, Lungsod sa Basilisa; tl, Bayan ng Basilisa), is a 4th class municipality in the province of Dinagat Islands, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 36,911 people. It is formerly known as Rizal. The town became a part of the province of Dinagat Islands in December 2006, when the province was created from Surigao del Norte by Republic Act No. 9355. However, in February 2010, the Supreme Court ruled that the law was unconstitutional, as the necessary requirements for provincial land area and population were not met. The town reverted to Surigao del Norte.
