Gwanghwamun Love Song
''Gwanghwamun Love Song'' is a musical directed by Lee GiNa, written by Ko Sun Woong, composed by Lee Young Hoon and choreographed by Seo Byung Koo. It is about memory, true love and death. It was co-produced by CJ E&M and Seoul City Musical Company. Plot In 2017, a middle-aged man, Myungwoo, was in a coma before death. Wulha (god who takes care of human events). He appears in front of Myungwoo and takes him on a journey through his past. The first place that the God brings him to is the moment when Myungwoo meets his first love, Soo-Ah, in the spring of 1984 painting competition. Myungwoo falls in love with this passionate and motivated woman. However, when Myungwoo witnesses Soo-Ah getting attacked by the police during a riot, he feels guilty because he cannot protect her, and eventually leaves her. Lee Young-hoon (composer)
Lee Young-hoon (, March 6, 1960 – February 14, 2008) was a South Korean composer best known for the ballads he wrote for singer Lee Moon-sae in the 1980s and 1990s. In the 21st century, his songs have been covered by popular K-pop acts, and were used in the jukebox musical ''Gwanghwamun Love Song.'' Career Lee Young-Hoon's career as a composer mostly focused on theatre, mainstream media and dance music. After he was introduced to Lee Moon-sae, musician and songwriter Lee Moon-sae from Um-inho, he began to compose for the singer. After the success of these songs, Lee Young-Hoon began exploring the 'Pop Ballads' genre. In 1987, Lee Young-Hoon won the Golden Disc Awards, Golden Disc Award and the Best Composer Award for "When Love is Gone," "Break Up Story" and "Only the Sound of Her Laughter." ''Seopyeonje'' ( Hanja: 西便制) is a 1993 South Korean musical drama film directed by Im Kwon-taek, based on the novel of the same name by Yi Chong-jun. It tells the story of a family of traditional Korean pansori singers trying to make a living in the modern world. It is the first South Korean film to draw over one million audiences and has significant influence in reviving popular interest in traditional Korean culture and pansori. Plot In a ''jumak'' (tavern) on a small pass called Soritjae of Boseong County, South Jeolla Province during the early 1960s, Dong-ho, who is in his 30s, asks a pansori singer at the inn if the road and inn's name, "Road of Music" and "Inn of Music", were named after her singing, which the woman denies. ''Jesus Christ Superstar'' is a sung-through rock opera with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice.
