Guys, Tennessee
Guys is a town in McNairy County, Tennessee. The population was 466 at the 2010 census. Geography Guys is located at (35.022989, -88.546564). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , of which is land and (0.26%) is water. Newspaper Guys's newspaper is the ''Independent Appeal'', which serves all of McNairy County. It was founded in 1902. It is located at 111 N. 2nd St. in Selmer. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 483 people, 188 households, and 141 families residing in the town. The population density was 41.2 people per square mile (15.9/km2). There were 217 housing units at an average density of 18.5 per square mile (7.1/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 68.94% White, 30.43% Black, 0.21% Asian, and 0.41% from two or more races. Constantin Guys
Constantin Guys (born Ernest-Adolphe Guys de Saint-Hélène, December 3, 1802 – December 13, 1892) was a French Crimean War correspondent, water color painter and illustrator for British and French newspapers. Biography Guys was born and baptized in Vlissingen, the son of François Lazare Guys and his second wife, Elisabeth Bétin. His father had been appointed civilian chief of the French Navy in Rochefort in 1795 and was stationed in Vlissingen from 1800 until 1806, after which the family moved to Calais. At the age of 20, Constantin served in the cavalry, but only a little later toured in Greece with Lord Byron. His career as an artist didn't start until he was about 40. Baudelaire called him the "painter of modern life," and wrote a long essay on Guys in which he extensively praised his works, under the pseudonym "Monsieur G". Robert de Montesquiou wrote a review of Guys that acknowledged Baudelaire's essay, compared Guys favorably to Whistler, and emphasized his portray ...

''The Guys'' is a play by Anne Nelson about the aftereffects of the collapse of the World Trade Center. A film version of the play was released in 2002 and starred Sigourney Weaver and Anthony LaPaglia. History In the play, Joan, an editor, helps Nick, a New York Fire Department captain, prepare the eulogies for the eight firefighters who died under his command that day, out of a crew of twelve. The play debuted off-Broadway at The Flea Theater on December 4, 2001, directed by Jim Simpson and starring Sigourney Weaver and Bill Murray. Since 2001, ''The Guys'' has been presented in 48 US states and in the Czech Republic, Argentina, Japan, Italy and Poland. Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon presented it at the Edinburgh Festival. ''Guys'' is the seventh novel in Canadian cartoonist Dave Sim's ''Cerebus'' comic book series. It is made up of issues #201-219 of ''Cerebus'' and was collected as ''Guys'' in one volume in September 1997. The book marks a return to a lighter and more humorous style, and takes place in a males-only bar. Synopsis After being shown the truth about the universe and himself, Cerebus is given the opportunity to choose to be anywhere he wants. He chooses a bar. The tavern he is placed in is located by the Wall of T'si, with a host of ''Cerebus'' regulars, including Bear, Boobah and Mick & Keef; visits from the Margaret Thatcher caricature from Jaka's Story; and new characters, such as bartenders Richard George and Harrison Starkey (based on members of the Beatles), and caricatures of Norman Mailer and Marty Feldman's Igor from the film ''Young Frankenstein''. Ultraman Mebius
is a Japanese television series produced by Tsuburaya Productions and Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting. It is the 20th TV series and 40th anniversary production in the Ultra Series, which first began in 1966. It premiered on the Tokyo Broadcasting System on April 8, 2006. Guys Snack Foods is a snack foods manufacturer and distributor based in Overland Park, Kansas, with its target market being the Midwest. It claims to have been the first company to sell barbecue-flavored potato chips. The company's biggest product line is its potato chips, but it also offers cheese puffs, tortilla chips and pretzels. The company was founded by Guy and Frances Caldwell in 1938 as "Guy's Nut and Candy Company", so named because it sold roasted peanuts throughout the Kansas City area.
