Gustavo Villalobos
Gustavo Villalobos (born November 19, 1991) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Los Angeles Force in the National Independent Soccer Association. Career College and amateur Villalobos started his college career at Cal State Northridge in 2010, having sat out 2009 as a red-shirted year. However, he suffered the fourth leg break of his career in 2011, putting him out injured for over 15 months. After an extended period out of the game, Villalobos signed with the fourth-tier National Premier Soccer League side FC Hasental in 2013. Professional After a year with the Swedish side Ånge IF in 2014, Villalobos signed with the Maltese Premier League team Qormi in 2015, but then moved to another Maltese Premier League team, Pembroke Athleta, where he finished as the club's top goalscorer. North Hills, known previously as Sepulveda, is a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of the City of Los Angeles. North Hills was originally part of an agricultural community known as Mission Acres. Oakland Roots Sports Club is an American professional soccer team based in Oakland, California. The club was formed in 2018 by a group of Oakland natives, and began play in the National Independent Soccer Association in the fall of 2019. In 2021, the club joined the second division USL Championship. History The club was formed in July 2018, and would be known as Oakland Roots Sports Club. The club originally was slated to play in the NPSL Founders Cup, but the club ultimately withdrew and instead joined the National Independent Soccer Association, a Division III sanctioned United States Soccer Federation professional league. Orange County Soccer Club
Orange County Soccer Club was a Greater Los Angeles team active in the mid 1960s in a league called the Continental League. One of the highlights of its existence included an international match with Bayern Munich of Germany played on June 10, 1966 at Santa Ana Stadium in which the clubs played to a 3-3 tie. In 2014, local soccer supporter Blaine Jenks, a founder of an Orange County Blues FC supporter group called the County Line Coalition, discovered information of the match between OCSC and Bayern Munich. In 1966, the Orange County Soccer Club played the final of the national tournament, the National Challenge Cup (now called the U.S. Open Cup), and played it again in 1967, but was unable to become champion on both occasions.
