Gustaf Dahl
Frans Gustaf Abraham Dahl (13 February 1835 – 21 September 1927) was a Swedish architect. He is known for designing several of Sweden's prominent buildings, including Stockholm's National Library of Sweden and Mariahissen. He also designed Norrby Church in Sala Municipality. Personal life Dahl had two known children: fellow architect Theodor Dahl and Elsa Åkerhielm. He also had an illegitimate daughter, Tora Armida Dahl, with bakery assistant Emma Nilsdotter. Dahl was a cousin of composer Viking Dahl. Death Dahl died in 1927, aged 92. National Library Of Sweden
The National Library of Sweden ( sv, Kungliga biblioteket, ''KB'', meaning "the Royal Library") is Sweden's national library. It collects and preserves all domestic printed and audio-visual materials in Swedish, as well as content with Swedish association published abroad. Being a research library, it also has major collections of literature in other languages. Norrby Church
Norrby Church ( sv, Norrby kyrka) is located in Sala Municipality in Västmanland County, Sweden. The church is situated on the eastern banks of the Sagån River. Norrby parish is in the Diocese of Västerås of the Church of Sweden. The church building Norrby Church has medieval origins but was rebuilt to its current form at the end of the 1800s. The church building has a frame of stone and consists of three naves. On the west side of the main nave is the church tower with entrance. Creation and refurbishment The original stone church was probably built around the year 1300. In the 1500s the church was expanded to the north. During the 1600s and 1700s, there were repeated strengthening efforts to stabilise the arches and porch. Viking Dahl
Viking Dahl (8 October 1895 – 5 January 1945) was a Swedish composer, active also as a painter and an author. Biography Frode Viking Samson Dahl was born in Osby in Scania, Sweden. He was the son of Samuel Dahl (1847-1932) and Katarina Lovisa Peterson (1859-1931). He was the grandson of Swedish priest Gustav Leonard Dahl (1801-1877). His elder brother was Swedish-American Lutheran pastor and author K. G. William Dahl (1883-1917). His cousin was Swedish architect Frans Gustaf Abraham Dahl (1835-1927). Dahl studied at the Royal College of Music 1915-1919 in Stockholm and thereafter in Copenhagen and Berlin. During a stay in Paris 1920, he wrote the dance drama ''Maison de Fous'' for Ballets Suédois. He developed his own avant-gardism during his studies in Stockholm, and in Paris he met the radical French composers of the time, among them Darius Milhaud and Maurice Ravel.
