Gundamma Gaari Manavadu
''Gundamma Gaari Manavadu'' (''Mrs. Gundamma's grandson'') is a 2007 Indian Telugu-language film starring Ali, Sindhuri, and Nicole. The film is directed by B. Jaya. The film was released on 28 April 2007. The film was commercially successful and ran for fifty days. Plot The title is suggestive of a grandmother-grandson relationship. Yedukondalu (played by comedian Ali) is looked after by his grandmother Gundamma (Vadivukkarasi) after his mother's death while his father, Srisailam (Tanikella Bharani) is an alcoholic. Ali falls in love with Mahalakshmi (Sindhuri), whose father Neelakanta (Kota Srinivasa Rao) is a greedy person and wants his would-be son-in-law to own a hotel. With the help of his grandmother (she sells off her jewellery) Yedukondalu sets up a hotel. Ali (born 10 October 1967) is an Indian actor, comedian, and TV presenter who works predominantly in Telugu films and television. He acted in more than 1000 films in Telugu. He is a recipient of two Nandi Awards and two Filmfare Awards South. Early life Ali was born in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India. His father was a tailor and his mother was a home maker. Sindhuri, is an Indian actress who has worked in the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam film industries. After making her debut in the Tamil film ''Boys'' (2003), she has been in films including ''Super Da'' (2004) and ''Gundamma Gaari Manavadu'' (2007). Tanikella Bharani (born 14 July 1954) is an Indian actor, screenwriter, poet, playwright and director who works predominantly in Telugu cinema.
