Guna (film)
''Gunaa'' is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language psychological romantic drama film directed by Santhana Bharathi and co-written by Sab John. The film stars Kamal Haasan, Rekha and newcomer Roshini. The film revolves around a newly released psychiatric patient (Haasan) who kidnaps an heiress (Roshini) to make her fall in love with him. He believes she is an avatar of goddess Abhirami and it is his destiny to marry her. Haasan and John initially planned to make a film set in Sri Lanka during a time of insurgency, but the project was dropped over story concerns. John later developed a new story ''Mathikettan Solai'' (which would be renamed ''Gunaa''), inspired partly by a mentally-ill person he knew. The dialogues were written by Balakumaran, cinematography was handled by Venu and editing by B. Lenin and V. T. Vijayan. Santhana Bharathi
Santhana Bharathi is an Indian film director and actor who has primarily worked in Tamil cinema. Career Santhana Bharathi originally wanted to be a director but didn't get the right opportunity, even after working for a well known director like C. V. Sridhar. At the time, he had been looking for offers with his friend P. Vasu. Finally, they got a movie called ''Panneer Pushpangal'' in the year 1981. It was a success. Santhana Bharathi, along with his friend Vasu started directing many other movies under the name “Bharathi Vasu”. Ananthu (screenwriter)
Ananthu was an Indian screenwriter working on Tamil language films, often collaborating with K. Balachander. He was the mentor of actor Kamal Haasan. Career Ananthu was a screenwriter and close associate of director K. Balachander. He also worked with director C. Rudraiah on his two films. In the title card, Rudhraiya had dedicated the film ''Aval Appadithan'' to Ananthu. Ananthu was sub-dialogue writer with Chitralaya Gopu for the films ''Anubhavam Pudhumai'' and ''Galatta Kalyanam'' directed by C. V. Rajendran. Janagaraj is an Indian actor who has appeared in over 200 films predominantly in Tamil cinema as a comedian or in supporting roles. He also starred in few Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi films.
