Gun Shy (2000 Film)
''Gun Shy'' is a 2000 black comedy film written and directed by Eric Blakeney, and starring Liam Neeson, Oliver Platt and Sandra Bullock. Plot Charlie Mayough (Liam Neeson) is an undercover DEA agent suffering from anxiety and gastrointestinal problems after a bust goes wrong. During the aforementioned incident, his partner was killed and he found himself served up on a platter of watermelon with a gun shoved in his face just before back-up arrived. Charlie, once known for his ease and almost "magical" talent on the job, is finding it very hard to return to work. Eric Blakeney
Eric Blakeney (born September 14, 1959) is an American film and television director, producer and screenwriter. He is known for writing award-winning episodes of television for ''21 Jump Street'', and writing and directing a feature film, 2000's '' Gun Shy''. Biography Blakeney was born in Manhattan, New York. He lived there until 1977, when he moved to London, England. After performing as a member of various London rock groups, Blakeney returned to the US, this time settling in Los Angeles, California. Blakeney wrote for various print publications, until he found his calling - and his first writing job - in television on '' Crime Story''. Based on the strength of his work on Crime Story and ''Moonlighting'', Blakeney was hired as a story editor on '' Wiseguy'', until becoming a senior writer. Louis Giambalvo (born February 8, 1945) is an American actor, frequently seen on television in guest roles. Early life and education Giambalvo was born and raised in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City, where he attended Catholic school.
