Gun Club Estates is a census-designated place (CDP) in Palm Beach County, Florida, Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. The population was 816 at the 2020 US census. History The CDP and Gun Club Road are both named after the Palm Beach Gun Club, a skeet shooting, skeet and target shooting range that originally opened in the town of Palm Beach, Florida, Palm Beach in 1911 and remained there until relocating to the modern-day Gun Club Estates area prior to the Korean War. 2020 US Census
The United States census of 2020 was the twenty-fourth decennial United States census. Census Day, the reference day used for the census, was April 1, 2020. Military Trail (Florida)
Military Trail is a long six-lane north–south arterial road in Broward and Palm Beach counties in South Florida. A portion of the road is designated State Road 809 (SR 809), but most of the road within Palm Beach County is locally maintained and signed as County Road 809 (CR 809), while the Broward County section exists without either designation. Arthur Jackson (sport Shooter)
Lieutenant Colonel Arthur Charles Jackson (May 15, 1918 – January 6, 2015) was an American competitive sport shooter. In his international career, he captured numerous medals across three Summer Olympic Games, three ISSF World Shooting Championships, and two editions of the Pan American Games. He began shooting in the seventh grade and joined the rifle team at Brooklyn Technical High School in 1934. He competed in local and regional tournaments prior to World War II, during which he worked at the Sperry Corporation and later served as a bombardier in the Pacific Theater of Operations. His first international tournament was the 1948 Summer Olympics and his last was the 1956 edition, at which point he began a career in public service with the Central Intelligence Agency in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
