Gun Belt (film)
''Gun Belt'' is a 1953 American Western film directed by Ray Nazarro and starring George Montgomery and Tab Hunter. Plot A former outlaw, Billy Ringo, clashes with his old gang. He had hung up his guns, bought a ranch and fallen in love with Arlene Reach (Helen Westcott), whom he plans to marry as soon as possible. Billy has let his nephew, Chip, live and work the ranch with him while Chip's father, Matt Ringo (John Dehner) is serving a prison sentence. Billy is determined that Chip keep on the straight and narrow. Matt breaks out of prison and joins his three outlaw buddies - Dixon, Holloway, and Hoke - in a plan to pull a bank robbery. The plan, however, needs Billy Ringo's participation. Billy refuses to join the robbery plot or to help his brother escape recapture. This angers Chip, who decides to join his father. Ray Nazarro ''(aka'' "Ray" and "Nat;" ''né'' Raymond Alfred Nazarro; September 25, 1902 – September 8, 1986) was an American film and television director, producer, and screenwriter. Virgil Earp
Virgil Walter Earp (July 18, 1843 – October 19, 1905) was both deputy U.S. Marshal and Tombstone, Arizona City Marshal when he led his younger brothers Wyatt and Morgan, and Doc Holliday, in a confrontation with outlaw Cowboys at the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral on October 26, 1881. They killed brothers Tom and Frank McLaury and Billy Clanton. All three Earp brothers had been the target of repeated death threats made by the Cowboys who were upset by the Earps' interference in their illegal activities. All four lawmen were charged with murder by Ike Clanton, who had run from the gunfight. James Millican (February 17, 1911 – November 24, 1955) was an American actor with over 200 film appearances mostly in western movies. Millican was the son of Fred S. Millican, a circus owner, and Dorothy Millican. Millican was a close associate of cowboy star "Wild" Bill Elliott, staging a number of personal-appearance rodeos on Elliott's behalf. Millican was sent to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's dramatic school directly after graduating from University of Southern California.
