Gul Bakhsh ( bn, গুল বখশ, gul bôkhsh) was a Bengali poet of the late 19th-century. He is mainly known for his magnum opus, ''Kukikatar Puthi'', which was a narrative of the Kuki raids at Chhagalnaiya in 1860. It was written in the ''puthi'' format. His ''puthi'' was featured on the Paschimbanga Bangla Akademi Magazine in 1375 B.S. (c. 1969 CE). Gul Agha Sherzai (), also known as Mohammad Shafiq, is a politician in Afghanistan. He is the former governor of Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan. He previously served as Governor of Kandahar province, in the early 1990s and from 2001 until 2003. In October 2013, Sherzai resigned from his post as governor and formally announced himself as a candidate for Afghanistan's 2014 Presidential Election, and served as the minister of border and tribal affairs until the Taliban victory in 2021. Gul Hameed Khan Rokhri (1 January 1936 - 23 August 2020) was a Pakistani politician. Gul Rahman ( ps, ګل رحمان; died November 20, 2002) was an Afghan man, suspected by the United States of being a militant, who was a victim of torture. He died in a secret CIA prison, or black site, located in northern Kabul, Afghanistan known as the Salt Pit. He had been captured October 29, 2002. His name was kept secret by the United States for more than seven years, although his death was announced. In 2010 the Associated Press reported that before his death he was left half-stripped and chained against a concrete wall on a night when the temperature was close to freezing. The Maywand District murders were the thrill-killings of at least three Afghan civilians perpetrated by a group of U.S. Army soldiers from June 2009 to June 2010, during the War in Afghanistan. Gul Mohammed (February 15, 1957 – October 1, 1997) of New Delhi, India, according to Guinness World Records, was the shortest adult human being of his time whose existence and height have been independently verified. On July 19, 1990, he was examined by Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi, India, and he stood 1 foot 10.5 inches (57 cm) tall and weighed 37.5 lbs (17 kg). He died on October 1, 1997, from respiratory complications and after a long struggle with asthma and bronchitis. Gul Mohammad , sometimes referred to as Gul Mahomed, (15 October 1921 – 8 May 1992) played Test cricket for India and Pakistan. He was educated at Islamia College, Lahore. Gul Mohammad was a small man who stood only 5' 5, but a brilliant attacking left-handed batsman and fine fielder in the covers.
