Gujarat Maritime Board
Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) is a government agency of the Government of Gujarat, a state of India. It was founded in 1982 to control, manage and operate the minor ports of Gujarat. History The GMB was founded in 1982 under the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981. It controls, manage and operates total 44 minor ports of Gujarat including some with private companies. From 3% of the total national port traffic handled by minor ports of Gujarat in 1982-83, they grown to handle 31% of total national port traffic in 2016-17. They also handles 71.3% of all minor port traffic of India. In 2018-19, minor ports of Gujarat handled total 542 MMT of cargo. The Government of Gujarat, also known as Gujarat Government, is the supreme governing authority of the Indian state of Gujarat and its 33 districts. It consists of an executive of the legislators appointed by the Governor of Gujarat, a judiciary and of a publicly elected legislative body. Mundra Port
Mundra Port is the largest private port of India located on the north shores of the Gulf of Kutch near Mundra, Kutch district, Gujarat. Formerly operated by Mundra Port and Special Economic Zone Limited (MPSEZ) owned by Adani Group, it was later expanded into Adani Ports & SEZ Limited (APSEZ) managing several ports. The economy of Gujarat, a state in Western India, has significant agricultural as well as industrial production within India. DG Sea Connect
DG Sea Connect is a RORO/ROPAX ferry service connecting Ghogha and Hazira in Gulf of Khambhat in Gujarat state of India. Port Pipavav, India's first port in the private sector, is a port on the West Coast of India for containers, bulk and liquid cargo. Its lead promoter is APM Terminals, one of the largest container terminal operators in the world. The services include pilotage/towage, cargo handling and logistics support. Hazira Port
Hazira Port or Surat Port is a deep-water liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal and multi-cargo deep-water port about 20 miles southwest of Surat, India built by Hazira Port Private Limited (HPPL). The LNG facility is operational, while the cargo port is under development. It is a joint venture between Shell Gas B.V (Shell) and Total Gaz Electricité Holdings France (Total).
