Guitar Man (Elvis Presley Album)
''Guitar Man'' is an Elvis Presley album released by RCA Records in January 1981. The album consists of ten songs that Presley's longtime producer, Felton Jarvis, took and re-imagined for a contemporary sound. The instrumentation and backing singers from the original recordings were stripped away for new instrumentation. The process began on January 15, 1980, and lasted through November 11, 1980, with 40 songs being reworked; a later CD reissue of the album included additional tracks from these sessions. Singer-songwriter Jerry Reed Jerry Reed Hubbard (March 20, 1937 – September 1, 2008) was an American singer, guitarist, composer, and songwriter as well as an actor who appeared in more than a dozen films. His signature songs included " Guitar Man", " U.S. Male", "A Thi ... was recruited to lay down the guitar work on the new version of the song " Guitar Man", which he had done the same on the original Elvis recording in 1967. Guitar Man (song)
"Guitar Man" is a 1967 song written by Jerry Reed, who took his version of it to number 53 on the Billboard country music charts in 1967. Soon after Reed's single appeared, Elvis Presley recorded the song with Reed playing the guitar part, and it became a minor country and pop hit. Elvis Presley versions According to Peter Guralnick in his two-volume biography of Presley, the singer had been trying unsuccessfully to record the tune, but wasn't happy with the groove. He said something to the effect of: "Get me that redneck picker who's on the original tune", and his staff brought Reed into the studio - who nailed it on the first take (though this romantic account is contradicted by a studio tape of the session that documents the first, second and fifth takes which are available on video-sharing website youtube.com). The single spent one week at number one on the country chart. Thirteen years later, "Guitar Man" was re-recorded in a new electric arrangement, with Presley's origin ...

Slowheart
''Slowheart'' is the third studio album by American country music artist Kip Moore, released on September 8, 2017, through MCA Nashville. The album's lead single, " More Girls Like You", was released on February 10, 2017. Background and recording Following the release and touring behind 2015's '' Wild Ones'', Moore took time off to travel, surf and write music. He tells ''Rolling Stone'' that ''Slowheart'' falls "somewhere between Americana, rock and the evocative storytelling of country." The album, which Moore produced about 75% of, has less of a "band in the room sound" and more of a vintage, "vocals out front" sound. Moore claims he drew inspiration for the album from Motown music and also '70s classic rock music. The songs "Plead the Fifth" and "The Bull" were not written in any part by Moore, which makes ''Slowheart'' Moore's first release to feature songs not written or co-written by him. Moore said of the album's theme that: The term Slowheart has always been dear to me, ...
