Guillaume Gouffier-Cha
Guillaume Gouffier-Cha (born 1 February 1986) is a French politician of La République En Marche! (LREM) who has been serving as a member of the French National Assembly since the 2017 elections, representing the department of Val-de-Marne. Early career In 2016, Gouffier-Cha joined the office of Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian as advisor on relations with Parliament and elected officials. Political career Since entering parliament, Gouffier-Cha has been the treasurer of the LREM parliamentary group under the leadership of successive chairmen Richard Ferrand (2017-2018) and Gilles Le Gendre (since 2018). He also serves as member of the Committee on Legal Affairs. Deputies ( French: ''députés''), also known in English as Members of Parliament (MPs), are the legislators who sit in the National Assembly, the lower house of the French Parliament. Richard Ferrand
Richard Ferrand (; born 1 July 1962) is a French politician of La République En Marche! (LREM) who served as President of the National Assembly from 2018 to 2022. He had served as a member of the National Assembly for Finistère's 6th constituency from 2012 to 2022. A longtime member of the Socialist Party, he was the General Secretary LREM from October 2016 and became the leader of the party's group of the National Assembly in June 2017. Comprehensive Economic And Trade Agreement
The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is a free-trade agreement between Canada and the European Union and its member states. It has been provisionally applied, thus removing 98% of the preexisting tariffs between the two parts. The negotiations were concluded in August 2014. All 27 European Union member states and former member state United Kingdom approved the final text of CETA for signature, with Belgium being the final country to give its approval.
