Guillaume Asselin
Guillaume Asselin (born September 9, 1992) is a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger who currently plays for HC Ajoie of the National League (NL). He previously played with HC Banska Bystrica of the Slovak Extraliga and with HC Sierre of the second tier Swiss League (SL). Playing career Asselin played junior hockey with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) before enrolling at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières where he played hockey with the UQTR Patriotes. Asselin briefly played in the ECHL at the conclusion of his college career before signing a one-year deal with HC Banska Bystrica of the Slovak Extraliga on October 31, 2017. He went on to win the Slovak championship and agreed to a one-year contract extension with the team on July 10, 2018. The Genève-Servette HC (also called Servette or GSHC) is a professional ice hockey club based in Geneva, Switzerland and competing in the National League (NL), the top tier of the Swiss hockey league system. The Chicoutimi Saguenéens are a junior ice hockey team which plays in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). The team is based out of Chicoutimi, Quebec, Canada (now a part of the city of Saguenay) and owned by the City of Saguenay. The team plays its home games at the Centre Georges-Vézina. History The Chicoutimi Saguenéens franchise was granted for the 1973–74 season. The team's name, ''Saguenéens'', literally means "People from the Saguenay." Linus Karl Heimer Omark (born 5 February 1987) is a Swedish professional ice hockey left winger currently with Genève-Servette HC of the National League (NL). Omark has previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Buffalo Sabres and Edmonton Oilers. Patinoire des Vernets is an indoor arena located in Geneva, Switzerland. It is primarily used for ice hockey and is the home arena of Genève-Servette HC. Opened in 1958, it has a seating capacity for 7,135 people. History When it opened in 1958, the arena had a total of 11,820 spectators. In 1992 a renovation took place, which reduced the capacity to 6,837 places. In 2009 a further modernization took place, whereby more seats were created and the audience capacity rose to 7,202. The arena hosted the 1962 FIBA Champions Cup final in which Dynamo Tbilisi of Georgia (then Soviet Georgia) defeated Real Madrid 90–83.
