Guilherme Giovannoni
Guilherme Giovannoni (born June 2, 1980) is a Brazilian former professional basketball player. He played at the power forward (basketball), power forward position for several clubs in Brazil and Europe. Currently, he is a commentator on the National Basketball Association and Novo Basquete Brasil for ESPN Brasil. Professional career During his pro career, Giovannoni has played with UniCEUB/BRB and several other sports club, clubs in the top-tier level Novo Basquete Brasil, Brazilian League. National team career Giovannoni has competed with the senior men's Brazilian national basketball team, at the 2002 FIBA World Championship, 2002, 2006 FIBA World Championship, 2006, 2010 FIBA World Championship, 2010, and 2014 FIBA World Cups. The Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) is a professional men's club basketball league that has been organised in Italy since 1920. Serie A is organised by Lega Basket, which is regulated by the Italian Basketball Federation (FIP). It is the highest-tier level of the Italian league system. The 2005 FIBA Americas Championship, later known as the FIBA AmeriCup (also known as The Tournament of the Americas), was hosted by the Dominican Republic, from August 24, to September 4, 2005. FIBA AmeriCup
The FIBA AmeriCup (previously known as the FIBA Americas Championship) is the Americas Basketball Championship that takes place every four years between national teams of the Western Hemisphere continents. Since FIBA organised the entire Western Hemisphere west of the Atlantic Ocean under one zone, countries from North America, Central America, the Caribbean and South America compete in this tournament. The 2015 NBB All-Star Game was an exhibition basketball game that was played on March 7, 2015 at Ginásio Pedrocão in Franca, São Paulo, home of Franca Basquetebol Clube. This game was the 7th edition of the NBB All-Star Game and was played during the 2014–15 NBB season. Frnaca was awarded for the third time to host the All-Star Game in an announcement by president Cássio Roque on February 6, 2015. The NBB All-Star Game is an annual game involving the All-Star players of each season of the Novo Basquete Brasil (New Basketball Brazil), which is the top-tier level Brazilian professional club basketball league. The players are chosen by votes on the Internet, and are then divided into two teams. The criterion for the selection of the teams has varied during the years. 2011–12 NBB Season
2011–2012 NBB season was the fourth season of Novo Basquete Brasil, the Brazilian basketball league. This tournament is organized entirely by the participating clubs. The NBB serves as a qualifying competition for international tournaments such as Liga Sudamericana and Torneo InterLigas. For this season the qualify for the FIBA Americas League came to be through the Liga Sudamericana. The season started on November 19 and was disputed with 16 participating teams playing each other in round and second round in the regular season. Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) (English language, English: New Basketball Brazil) is the Brazilian premier professional men's basketball league.
