Aimé-Victor-François Guilbert
Aimé-Victor-François Guilbert (15 November 1812 – 16 August 1889) was a French prelate of the Catholic Church who became a bishop in 1867. He was Bishop of Gap from 1867 to 1879, then Bishop of Amiens until 1883, and then Archbishop of Bordeaux until his death. He was raised to the rank of cardinal in 1889. Biography Aimé-Victor-François Guilbert was born in Cerisy-la-Forêt on 15 November 1812. He was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Coutances on 17 December 1836. He taught at the minor seminaries in Coutances and Mandeville, then led the minor seminaries in Mortain and Valogne, where he became archpriest in 1855. He was appointed Bishop of Gap on 20 September 1867 and received his episcopal consecration from François-Augustine Delamare, Archbishop of Auch, on 10 November. At the First Vatican Council he opposed the declaration of the doctrine of papal infallibility; he was atypical of the Church hierarchy in being comfortable reconciling the Church to the modern ... Ann Morgan Guilbert (October 16, 1928 – June 14, 2016), sometimes credited as Ann Guilbert, was an American television and film actress and comedian who portrayed a number of roles from the 1950s on, most notably as Millie Helper in 61 episodes of the early 1960s sitcom ''The Dick Van Dyke Show'', and later Yetta Rosenberg, Fran Fine's doddering grandmother, in 56 episodes of the 1990s sitcom ''The Nanny''. Nelly Guilbert (born 12 September 1979, in Carpentras) is a retired French footballer who spent the majority of her career at Juvisy of the Division 1 Féminine. She played as a defender winning three titles (league twice and cup once) and was also a French international having attained nine caps from 1998 to 2005. Yvette Guilbert (; born Emma Laure Esther Guilbert, 20 January 1865 – 3 February 1944) was a French cabaret singer and actress of the ''Belle Époque''. Biography Born in Paris into a poor family as Emma Laure Esther Guilbert, Guilbert began singing as a child but at age sixteen worked as a model at the Printemps department store in Paris. She was discovered by a journalist. She took acting and diction lessons, which enabled her in 1886 to appear on stage at several smaller venues. Guilbert debuted at the Variette Theatre in 1888. She eventually sang at the popular Eldorado club, then at the Jardin de Paris before headlining in Montmartre at the Moulin Rouge in 1890. Guilbert and Betelle was an architecture firm formed as a partnership of Ernest F. Guilbert and James Oscar Betelle. The firm specialized in design of schools on the East Coast of the United States, with an emphasis on the " Collegiate Gothic" style. Betelle took over the firm after Guilbert died in 1916, and oversaw design of hundreds of schools, including Greenwich High School in Greenwich, Connecticut and the Radburn School in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, both of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
