Guido Van Der Valk
Guido van der Valk (born 26 January 1980) is a Dutch professional golfer. Career After a successful amateur career, which included representing his country at the Eisenhower Trophy, van der Valk turned down several college offers to turn professional in 2002. He joined the Challenge Tour and finished 36th in the standings in his debut season, the highlight being a second-place finish behind Iain Pyman at the BMW Russian Open. After two disappointing seasons he joined the Asian Tour in 2005. In 2007 he just missed out on retaining his card by finishing one place out at 61st in the Order of Merit; Thammanoon Sriroj in 60th earned just $455 more. However, van der Valk rectified this the following year by enjoying his most successful Asian season to date in 2008, finishing 52nd on the Order of Merit. Lelystad
Lelystad () is a municipality and a city in the centre of the Netherlands, and it is the capital of the province of Flevoland. The city, built on reclaimed land, was founded in 1967 and was named after Cornelis Lely, who engineered the Afsluitdijk, making the reclamation possible. Lelystad is approximately below sea level. 2000 Eisenhower Trophy
The 2000 Eisenhower Trophy took place 31 August to 3 September on the Nick Faldo and Arnold Palmer courses at Sporting Club Berlin in Bad Saarow, Germany. It was the 22nd World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 59 four-man teams. The best three scores for each round counted towards the team total. Each team played two rounds on the two courses. The leading teams played on the Arnold Palmer course on the third day and on the Nick Faldo course on the final day. United States won the Eisenhower Trophy for the 11th time, finishing 16 strokes ahead of the silver medalists, Great Britain and Ireland. Australia took the bronze medal with Sweden in fourth place. Tjaart van der Walt (born 25 September 1974) is a South African professional golfer. Career Like many top golfers, van der Walt received a golf scholarship to study in the United States, attending Central Alabama Community College. He turned professional in 1996 and immediately joined his home tour in South Africa, the Sunshine Tour. He finished 45th in the Order of Merit in his first season as a professional, and improved to 7th the following year. Adilson José da Silva (born 24 January 1972) is a Brazilian professional golfer. He currently plays on the European Senior Tour and the Sunshine Tour, where he has won twelve times. Career Da Silva was born in Santa Cruz do Sul, Brazil but later moved to KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He turned professional in 1994. Da Silva competes predominantly on the Southern Africa-based Sunshine Tour. He won his first title on the tour in 1997 and has since added eight more tournament victories, and led the Vodacom Swing Challenge standings in 2006. Antonio "Tony" Lascuña (born 26 December 1970) is a Filipino professional golfer. He has played on the Asian Tour and predominantly on the Philippine Golf Tour, where he was won 24 tournaments and four Order of Merit titles, making him the most successful player in the tour's history. Lascuña turned professional in 1997. After great success in his home country he joined the Asian Tour in 2007. Since then he has retained his card comfortably every season, with runner-up finishes in the 2007 Iskandar Johor Open and the 2012 Mercuries Taiwan Masters.
