''Guest House'' is a 1980 Indian Hindi-language horror film directed by Shyam Ramsay, Tulsi Ramsay and produced by the Ramsay Brothers. This film was released in 1980 in the banner of Ramsay Productions. The music of the movie was composed by Bappi Lahiri. Plot Christopher, a psychic with ability to contact spirits, goes to a remote village for conducting a seance. He stays in a guest house at the village. Christopher has a valuable ring in his finger. The guest house's manager & co-worker murders him and cuts his hand off for the ring and buries the corpse. The dead hand revives with evil power to avenge. Shyam Ramsay
Shyam Ramsay (17 May 1952 – 18 September 2019) was a Bollywood film director. He was one of the seven Ramsay Brothers who were active in Indian cinema throughout the 1970s and the 1980s. Shyam Ramsay was considered the main artist and head of this group. They produced a number of horror movies such as ''Bandh Darwaza'', ''Purana Mandir'', and ''Veerana''. Their popularity waned towards the end of the 1980s, as Ramsay started diverting his creative energy and focus on television programming which was in demand because of the multiple private channels such as Zee TV, Star Plus etc. that were launched in the early nineties in India. Sudha Shivpuri (14 July 1937 – 20 May 2015) was an Indian actress who was most famous for her role as Baa in the Hindi TV serial '' Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'' (2000–2008). Early life and career Brought up in Rajasthan, Sudha Shivpuri started her career early, when she was in the eighth standard in school. Her father had died, and her mother had fallen ill, thus the onus of earning a living for the family fell on her. She is an alumna of National School of Drama graduating in 1963 along with Om Shivpuri. They later got married in 1968 and continued work in Delhi theatre. Sujit Kumar (7 February 1934 – 5 February 2010) was an Indian actor and producer. He appeared in over 150 Hindi films in the 1960s through the 1990s, and in at least 20 Bhojpuri films. Tulsi Ramsay
Tulsi Ramsay (29 July 1944 – 13 December 2018) was an Indian film director. He was the son of F. U. Ramsay and was one of the famous Seven Ramsay Brothers. The other six are Kumar Ramsay, Shyam Ramsay, Keshu Ramsay, Arjun Ramsay, Gangu Ramsay and Kiran Ramsay. Tulsi Ramsay directed several movies in the Horror genre during the 80's and 90's. Movies such as Hotel, Purana Mandir, Tahkhana, Veerana, Bandh Darwaza have acquired a cult following. He has also directed the ''Zee Horror Show'' TV series in 1993. The memories of most of the episodes of this TV series are still afresh in the hearts of horror enthusiasts in India. He ran a production company, Tulsi Ramsay Production located at Andheri in Mumbai. Ramsay died on 14 December, 2018 in a city hospital in Mumbai after complaining of chest pains.
