Guaya United FC is a Trinidad and Tobago professional football club, based in Guayaguayare, that plays in the National Super League.The club is Located in the Southeast of Trinidad in its Oil belt region and has vast support due to the community links. The club was established in 2010 but has already showed its stature in Trinidad and Tobago Football by winning the 2013 super league title while creating national history as being the first club to win the title in their inaugural year of participation in the league. Guaya United FC achieved this after only three years in existence. National Super League
The National Super League is a league for semi-professional association football clubs in Trinidad and Tobago. It is the second-highest division of the Trinidad and Tobago football league system. The league currently comprises 19 teams between 2 leagues and operates on a system of relegation between those leagues. Although the Super League champion of each season can apply for membership in the TT Pro League, the two leagues do not operate on an automatic promotion and relegation system. Seasons run from June to December, with League 1 teams playing 22 regular season matches and League 2 teams playing 12. The league was founded in 2003 to allow the best teams from association football to play in a semi-professional environment, as they prepare for life in the professional game. Guayaguayare is the southeasternmost village in Trinidad & Tobago. It lies at the southern end of the county of Mayaro. Guayaguayare (often simply called ''Guaya'') is primarily a fishing village, but it also plays a major role in the petroleum industry. The largest petroleum producers in the country - BP Trinidad & Tobago (bpTT), BHP and Petrotrin all have major presences here and bpTT controls the Port of Guayaguayare, which services most of the offshore petroleum production in Trinidad.
