Christopher Guard (born 5 December 1953) is an English actor, musician and artist. He is known for roles such as Jim Hawkins in '' Return to Treasure Island'' (1986), Bellboy in ''Doctor Who'' serial ''The Greatest Show in the Galaxy'' (1988), Marcellus in ''I, Claudius'' (1976), Marius in ''Les Misérables'' (1978), Ken Hodges in the medical drama ''Casualty'' (1993), and voicing Frodo Baggins in ''The Lord of the Rings'' (1978). Dave Guard
Donald David Guard (October 19, 1934 – March 22, 1991) was an American folk singer, songwriter, arranger and recording artist. Along with Nick Reynolds and Bob Shane, he was one of the founding members of The Kingston Trio. Guard was born in San Francisco and went to Punahou School in Honolulu in what was then the pre-statehood U.S. Territory of Hawaii. Upon completion of his final year of high school in 1952 at Menlo School, a private prep school in Menlo Park, California, he matriculated at nearby Stanford University, graduating in 1957 with a degree in economics. While an undergraduate at Stanford, Guard started a pickup group with Reynolds and Shane. Guard called his group Dave Guard and the Calypsonians, with a Weavers-style signature sound that was principally two guitars, a banjo, and rollicking vocals. Dominic Guard (born 18 June 1956) is an English child psychotherapist and author, formerly an actor. Early life Guard was born in London on 18 June 1956. His father, Philip Guard, was an English stage actor, his mother, Charlotte Mitchell, an actress and poet. His older brother Christopher, also an actor, was born in 1953. His parents separated when he was twelve. As a 14-year-old, in ''The Go-Between'' (1971), Guard played Leo Colston, the title character who runs messages between two secret lovers and has a momentous 13th birthday. Jeremy Guard (born 11 July 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Fitzroy in the Australian Football League (AFL) during the 1990s. Career Guard was one of six Claremont players selected in the first seven picks of the 1991 AFL draft. He didn't miss a game in any of his first two seasons, playing all 42 home and away fixtures. In just his ninth appearance, against Collingwood at Princes Park, he kicked three goals and in the dying seconds delivered the ball into the forward 50 to allow Paul Roos to snap the winning goal. John 'Jacky' Guard (ca. 1791/92 – 1857) was an English convict sent to Australia who was one of the first European settlers in the South Island of New Zealand, working as a whaler and trader. Kelly Guard (born June 10, 1983) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He last played for HC Pustertal-Val Pusteria in Italy's Serie A. He helped lead the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League (WHL) to a Memorial Cup championship in 2004. Career Playing career Guard was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He spent his entire junior career with the WHL's Kelowna Rockets. In 2002–03, his first of two seasons with the team, he led the Rockets to a WHL Championship and a berth in the Memorial Cup tournament in Quebec City. The Rockets lost 2–1 to the Hull Olympiques in the semi-final. Guard had another stellar season with the Rockets in 2003–04, posting 44 wins in 62 games. Philippa Ann Guard (born 13 October 1952) is a British actress. Biography Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Guard briefly attended the University of Montreal in Canada, first studying English and drama and then nursing, before returning to Britain to attend the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
