Guaranteed (Morris Day Album)
''Guaranteed'' is the third solo album by the American R&B singer Morris Day. It was released in 1992. The album adopted a different sound than Day's previous efforts. Focusing on new jack swing, it had more input from outside producers and composers than Day's previous projects. It was commercially unsuccessful. Big Daddy Kane raps on "Angel Don't". Critical reception ''The Indianapolis Star'' wrote: "Day has a new set of priorities on his third solo disc, trading his cartoonish, mirror-toting image for one closer to that of a hip, socially conscious adult." The ''St. Petersburg Times'' concluded that, "minus his royal slyness, the material slumps by on a tepid serving of refried new-jack beats." The ''Orange County Register'' determined that the "wan funk and tepid R&B balladry only shows that the sun has set on this Day." Guaranteed (Ronnie Drew Album)
''Guaranteed'' is Ronnie Drew's second solo album that was released in 1978 and produced by Pete St. John, who wrote many of the featured tracks. Eamonn Campbell featured both as musician and musical director and John Sheahan also played on the album. ''Guaranteed'' featured many songs that Drew would later record with The Dubliners, as well as tracks he had previously recorded. But there were other tracks featured which cannot be heard anywhere else. Ronnie Drew's spoken passages, extracts from Peter St. John's song "The Mero" and the instrumental "Dublin City Theme" link many of the tracks. In 1998, the album was reissued on CD as "Guaranteed Dubliner". Below is the track listing for the CD, which consists of seventeen tracks. Although the tracks are written as their original eight track format and the others are just untititled tracks, the original LP is split into seventeen tracks to fit on to the CD. Guaranteed (Phatfish Album)
''Guaranteed'' is the 2007 studio album from Phatfish. It features the vocals of Lou Fellingham, and consists of 10 new tracks written by various members of the band. Phatfish worked with Kevan Frost on the album, who produced their 2001 release ''Heavenbound''. The album received a positive response, with Cross Rhythms website giving it 10/10 in its review and the album peaking at number 4 on the monthly sales charts. The tracks "Amazing God", written by Nathan Fellingham and Paul Oakley, and "Best Thing" were chosen for radio airplay with the latter reaching Number 1 and staying there for 9 weeks. The track was the 13th most played song of the year for Cross Rhythm's Radio for 2007. American website Christianity Today gave the album 4/5 stars, with various other critics, Christian music reviewers and online shops rating the album well. Guaranteed (Eddie Vedder Song)
"Guaranteed" is a song written and performed by Pearl Jam vocalist Eddie Vedder from the '' Into the Wild'' soundtrack (2007). It is the final track on the album, and also features a hidden track of "Guaranteed" (Humming Vocal) after about two minutes of silence following the regular version of "Guaranteed". Lyrics Like the other songs on the soundtrack, "Guaranteed" is based on the story of American wanderer Christopher McCandless. After graduating as a top student from Emory University in 1990, McCandless decided to give up all of his savings and travel across the United States. In April 1992, McCandless hitchhiked to Alaska to live in the wilderness with little food and equipment, hoping to live a period of solitude. Nearly five months later, he died of starvation near Denali National Park and Preserve. ''Guaranteed'' is the ninth studio album by the British musical group Level 42, released in 1991, their first album of the 1990s. The album was released by RCA records and it was the first Level 42 studio album released by a label other than Polydor. Overview ''Guaranteed'' was the first Level 42 album without a songwriting contribution from former member Boon Gould, who had contributed lyrics to some songs for the 1988 album '' Staring at the Sun'' following his departure from the band. Several songs were co-written with lyricists Drew Barfield and George M. Green. ''Guaranteed'' was also the first Level 42 album to be released following the death of guitarist Alan Murphy, who had taken over from Gould for '' Staring at the Sun'' and related tours. The lineup credits for the album listed all of the musicians involved rather than clearly defining the separation between band and guest players.
