Guangzhou–Shenzhen Intercity Railway
Guangzhou–Shenzhen intercity railway or Suishen intercity railway () is a Commuter rail, commuter railway in the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong, China. The construction route traces roughly along the east bank of the Pearl River (China), Pearl River, connecting Guangzhou, Dongguan and Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport. It will feature a length of 73.996 km from Xintang South to Shenzhen Airport, operating at a top speed of 140 km/h using China Railway CRH6, CRH6A trains. This is the third railway between Guangzhou and Shenzhen. It is slower than the Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link but faster than the Guangzhou–Shenzhen railway. Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link (XRL), also known as “Guangshengang XRL” (officially Beijing–Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong high-speed railway, Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong section), is a high-speed railway line that connects Beijing and Hong Kong ( Kowloon) via Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Three types of rolling stock that operate along the XRL: Hexie (Harmony) and Fuxing (Rejuvenation) operated by China Railway, and Vibrant Express by MTR Corporation. The first phase, Shenzhen North– Guangzhou South, commenced revenue operation in December 2011. Services were extended to the city centre of Shenzhen at Futian in December 2015. Houjie () is a town under the jurisdiction of the prefecture-level city of Dongguan, Guangdong, China. The town spans an area of , has a registered hukou population of 95,055 as of 2008, and a permanent population of 368,038 as of 2000. The Dong River is the eastern tributary of the Pearl River in Guangdong province, southern China. The other two main tributaries of Pearl River are Xi River and Bei River. Foshan–Dongguan intercity railway, also called the Foguan intercity railway, is an under construction regional railway within Guangdong province, China, between the cities of Foshan, via Guangzhou, to Dongguan.
