Grødem Church
Grødem Church ( no, Grødem kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Randaberg Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Grødem. It is one of the two churches for the Randaberg parish which is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The gray concrete church was built in a semi-circular design in 2000 using designs by the architect Ove Morten Berge. The church seats about 450 people. The church was consecrated on 28 May 2000 by the Bishop Ernst Baasland. Randaberg is a municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Jæren, at the northern end of the Stavanger Peninsula. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Randaberg. Randaberg is located just north of the city of Stavanger. It is the northernmost conurbation of the Stavanger/Sandnes area, one of the largest urban areas in the country. The Byfjord Tunnel connects the islands of Stavanger Municipality to the east with the mainland of Randaberg. The Byfjord Tunnel ( no, Byfjordtunnelen) is a subsea road tunnel in Rogaland county, Norway. The tunnel runs between the village of Grødem on the mainland in Randaberg municipality and the island of Sokn in Stavanger municipality, running underneath the Byfjorden. European route E39 is the designation of a north–south road in Norway and Denmark from Klett, just south of Trondheim, to Aalborg via Bergen, Stavanger and Kristiansand. Stavanger Peninsula ( no, Stavangerhalvøya) is a peninsula in Rogaland County, Norway. The peninsula is named for the city of Stavanger, located on its northeastern shore and it includes the most populous parts of the Greater Stavanger urban area. The peninsula extends from a line between the Sandnes harbour at the southern end of the Gandsfjorden straight west to the village of Ølbør in Sola municipality. Byfjorden is a fjord in Rogaland county, Norway. The long fjord runs through the municipalities of Randaberg and Stavanger. The fjord begins at the Tungenes Lighthouse at the northern end of the Stavanger Peninsula and it flows south along the east side of the peninsula to the city of Stavanger.
