Grupo Armado
Grupo Armado was a popular Nicaraguan rock band formed by Alejandro Mejía (lead vocals and percussion), Bikentios Chávez (drums), Noel Portocarrero (bass) and Ernesto Rodríguez (lead guitar). This was actually the line up for the Ecosistema del Sistema Album's release but most of the album's tour was executed(guitars) by another guitarist named Arturo Vaughan who was the guitarist with more stability during the band's existence. Also some other musicians participated in the project. Among them: Andres Centeno (bass), Jose Alejandro Garcia (bass), Daniel Chavarria (guitars), Rob Vaughan (guitars). The group was an offspring of CPU, another popular rock band started by Mejía and Chávez. The band was born in 2004 with musicians from different groups active at that time with an odd mixture of musical genres and backgrounds. The flag of Nicaragua was first adopted on September 4, 1908, but not made official until August 27, 1971. It is based on, and inspired by, the flag of the Federal Republic of Central America and flag of Argentina. It is one of only three national flags (the others being Flag of El Salvador, El Salvador and Flag of Dominica, Dominica) that currently use purple. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Rock en español () is a term used widely in the English-speaking world to refer to any kind of rock music featuring Spanish vocals.
