Gorxheimertal
Gorxheimertal is a municipality in the Bergstraße district in Hesse, Germany. It is in the Odenwald and the Rhine Neckar Area. Geography Location The community lies along the length of the Grundelbach valley in the Odenwald. The nearest big town is Weinheim, and the way there also marks the division between the Odenwald and the ''Hessisches Ried'' (part of the Upper Rhine valley), as well as the boundary between Hesse and Baden-Württemberg. Through the community’s namesake Gorxheim valley – it is called the ''Gorxheimertal'' in German – flows the Grundelbach. At the eastern point of the constituent community of Trösel rise the two mountains Waldskopf and Daumberg, which also mark the Gorxheim valley’s eastern limit. Weschnitz
The Weschnitz is a right tributary of the Rhine running through the German states of Hesse and Baden-Württemberg. The name of the river traces to the Celtic god Visucius, who was worshiped in the region. The river source is in the Odenwald, in the town of Grasellenbach. It then flows in a westerly direction through a number of communities, including Fürth, Rimbach, Mörlenbach and Birkenau. At Weinheim, the river splits into two branches as it enters the Upper Rhine Plain. The two courses join at Lorsch. It then flows through the communities of Einhausen and Biblis before emptying into the Rhine at the Biblis Nuclear Power Plant. Weinheim (; pfl, Woinem) is a town with about 43,000 inhabitants in northwest Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region, approximately north of Heidelberg and northeast of Mannheim. Weinheim is known as the "Zwei-Burgen-Stadt", the "town of two castles", after two fortresses overlooking the town from the edge of the Odenwald in the east.
