The Metropolitan City of Bari ( it, Città Metropolitana di Bari) is a metropolitan city in the Apulia region of Italy. Its capital is the city of Bari. It replaced the Province of Bari and includes the city of Bari and some forty other municipalities (''comuni''). It was first created by the reform of local authorities (Law 142/1990) and then established by the Law 56/2014. It has been operative since January 1, 2015. The Metropolitan City of Bari is headed by the Metropolitan Mayor (''Sindaco metropolitano'') and by the Metropolitan Council (''Consiglio metropolitano''). The Adriatic Sea () is a body of water separating the Italian Peninsula from the Balkan Peninsula. Francesco Colasuonno
Francesco Colasuonno (2 January 1925 – 31 May 2003) was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who served as a Vatican diplomat for more than two decades. He had the personal title of archbishop and at the end of his service became a cardinal. Biography Colasuonno was born in Grumo Appula, Bari, Italy. He was ordained a priest 1947 and then taught for more than a decade in the seminary in Bari while earning doctorates in theology and canon law. He served in the office of the Holy See's Secretariat of State beginning in 1958 and then in the Vatican diplomatic corps. Sergio Rubini (born 21 December 1959) is an Italian actor, film director and screenwriter. Life and career Rubini was born in Grumo Appula, Apulia, but soon moved to Rome to study acting. After some roles in theater, he debuted in a feature film with ''Figlio mio infinitamente caro'' (1985), which was followed by ''Desiderando Giulia'' and ''Il caso Moro''. In 1987 he appeared in Federico Fellini's ''Intervista''. In 1989 Rubini debuted also as director with ''La stazione'', written with his friend Umberto Marino. The film won a Silver Ribbon and a David di Donatello as best debut work.
